Hi friends,
Victoria here.
Welcome to this five minute bedtime reset meditation.
This is a short practice to help you unwind and let go of your day.
So wherever you may be,
Maybe you're sitting or lying down,
Getting ready to go to bed.
Find a position that allows for your body to fully relax.
Once you arrive there and you feel at ease,
Take one deep inhale through the nostrils,
An expansive exhale,
And exhale as you empty the lungs,
Slowly closing the eyes or softening the gaze if that feels safe in your body.
Begin to shift your attention to your body,
The whole entirety of it,
This earthly vessel that carries you throughout your day.
So shifting your awareness to the lower half of your body,
Feet,
Calves,
Knees,
Hips,
And allowing for a wave of relaxation to wash over those parts.
Now begin shifting your awareness to the upper half of your body,
Shoulders,
Belly,
Chest,
Jaw,
Eyebrows,
Hands,
Arms,
Fingers,
And again,
Allowing for that wave of relaxation to completely wash over you,
Bringing in a sense of ease.
Now begin to think about one thing you may be grateful for today.
Maybe that's a song that you listened to when you were young,
That made you smile,
Perhaps a loved one that you were able to share a hug with,
Or maybe that's a really yummy meal that you had today.
Whatever it may be,
Just bringing that one thing to mind and letting a sense of gratitude pour out of your heart.
Now let's shift your focus to an intention for tomorrow.
Maybe that intention is to be fully present as you walk through your day.
We're taking a moment here to invite that intention for the next day.
Rest is essential for our bodies and not a luxury,
But something that we're all worthy of.
So honor this time for your body and for your mind,
Allowing for your mind and body to renew its resources so that it can carry you through the day tomorrow.
Let's take one last deep inhale through the nostrils.
Exhale,
Let it all go.
I hope you have a restful night of sleep,
My friend.
Take care.
