Transcript

This meditation is for anyone serving others or in helping professions.

Find an easy seated or lying down posture.

Take three deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply,

Expanding the lungs,

And exhaling deeply through the mouth.

Again,

Inhaling this time through the nose,

Exhale with a sigh out the mouth.

Last time,

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale,

Sighing out through the mouth.

Place your hand over your heart and begin to say to yourself,

I am safe.

I am safe.

I am safe.

Now I am loved.

I am loved.

I am loved.

Now transition to saying,

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

We'll come back to this at the end again.

Begin to notice a warm,

Melting,

And relaxing sensation beginning at the top of your head.

Imagine it spilling down your forehead,

Softening the eyes in their sockets,

Releasing the jaw,

Releasing the tongue from the roof of the mouth,

Soften the throat and the back of the neck.

Imagine warm,

Relaxing sensations moving through the traps or the shoulders and settling down on your left shoulder.

Imagine a warm,

Melting sensation relaxing you from the shoulder to the elbow,

From the elbow to the wrist.

And now the thumb is relaxed,

The index finger,

The middle finger,

The ring finger,

And the pinky.

Your entire arm is relaxed and at ease.

Allow it to melt into the ground,

Spreading like water.

Now let's move over to the right shoulder,

Feeling a warm,

Melting,

Relaxing sensation from the shoulder to the elbow,

The elbow to the wrist.

And now relax the thumb,

The index finger,

The middle finger,

The ring finger,

And the pinky.

And now let's come back up to the throat again,

Relaxing the throat and the chest,

Breathing into any tense or anxious areas that you feel.

Imagine goodness rushing to those areas and releasing,

Dissolving any tension.

Breathe in and then breathe out the tension.

Moving downward,

Soften the belly.

Allow your breaths to fully expand the belly.

Release the back,

The lower back.

And let's bring our attention to the left hip,

The left hip,

Feeling that relaxing sensation from the hip to the knee,

From the knee to the ankle,

Releasing the arch,

The top of the foot,

The big toe,

The second toe,

The third toe,

The fourth toe,

And the pinky.

Your entire left leg is heavy and allow it to spread like water.

Now let's bring our attention to the right hip,

Allowing that relaxation to move from the hip to the knee,

From the knee to the ankle,

Relaxing the arch and the top of the foot,

The top of the foot,

And now the big toe,

The second toe,

The third,

The fourth,

And now the pinky.

Allow your right leg to be heavy and spread like water.

Now,

If there are any other areas that feel tense or constricted,

Find your breath and breathe into those areas so they dissolve and you can freely breathe.

Now,

As a person who provides service to others,

I'd like you to think back to the very beginning of your service time or career and think of your ideals and how passionate you were about serving others and the greater good.

What fired you up?

What lit you up?

What made you want to seek out and serve others?

Allow that passion to fill up your heart with goodness.

Think back through your career from the very beginning.

Whom did you impact?

Did you get feedback that was positive from them or someone close to them?

Feel your proudest moments when you made the biggest impact and allow it to fill up your heart.

Imagine yourself in a beautiful field.

There are wild flowers everywhere and begin to line up in a circle around you all of the people who you've made a positive impact on.

Was it a collective organization?

Was it a parent,

A sibling,

A best friend?

Imagine all of the people that you have positively impacted and bring them all to this beautiful magical field.

They're making a big circle around you.

They're clapping and laughing and blowing you kisses.

Imagine all of that goodness that you put out into the world coming back to you a thousandfold.

Take some time to go through year by year your trickiest cases,

Your most difficult moments that made the biggest impact to those around you and begin to bring all bring all of those people,

All of the crowds together and they encircle you and they begin to lift you up and now you're crowd surfing.

They're all chanting your name with love and appreciation in their hearts.

Individual people say,

Oh my gosh,

You're the best.

Thank you for making such an impact on my life.

Another person pipes up as you crowd surf their direction and they say the planet is better because you're on it.

Thank you so much for being you and yet another says,

Oh my gosh,

What an impact and legacy you are leaving.

We are all so grateful.

You crowd surf a little bit more and then they gently release you back down to the floor.

Everyone embraces you and an enormous hug and suddenly flower petals start falling from the sky like confetti.

Everyone looks up.

Everyone has a big smile on their face and warmth in their heart.

What a beautiful,

Magical life you've created.

All the things that you do and all the things that bring you joy and service on this planet are your gifts.

Thank you for all you do.

Let this feeling warm your heart.

Fill it up with kindness and love and appreciation and let this be on your heart for the rest of the day,

Spreading joy and sunshine wherever you go.

When you're ready,

Begin to flutter the eyes open,

Moving the fingers and the toes and slowly,

Gently bringing yourself back into the present moment,

Allowing that feeling to stay with you for the remainder of the day as you go and make your mark on this planet.
