Hello and thank you so much for joining me for this mind over endopain meditation where we use science-based mindfulness tools to manage your endometriosis stress,

Pain,

And anxiety when you're ready i invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you whichever you prefer sitting up straight or lying down your head shoulders belly and full body slowly relaxing at probably no surprise to anyone listening there are so many more of us out there getting diagnosed with endo i know some of you may still be considered quote unquote suspected because the diagnostic process is just so so terrible but please know that your pain and experience is very real and this gray area or schrodinger's box of do i have it or don't i can make your symptoms even worse you don't need official confirmation to know your experience is real or to validate it and we can still manage it even without that official check mark it's especially heartbreaking to see on social media how many of you are facing the often crippling reality of the diagnosis particularly in instagram comments or posts of people feeling hopeless and helpless about the journey ahead i obviously can't promise you anything about your unique future living with this illness but i can tell you that you'll never care so much more for your body than you will now and if you could survive as long as you did without the diagnosis living in that seemingly endless purgatory of fear medical gaslighting and absolute despair about the future you can definitely live such a beautiful and fulfilled life despite what this illness throws at you now that i can promise so let's get on the road to healing shall we let's start by getting fully comfortable and arrive in this moment of stillness with the breath by taking a deep inhale in and an extra quick inhale to fill your full body up and a nice sigh out feeling all of the air escape one more time just a deep inhale in through the nose an extra quick inhale to fill all the way up and a nice long sigh of the mouth feeling all of the air escape one of the scariest things about the initial diagnosis is the overwhelm of the next steps and how to manage the illness going forward this is where self-trust will really come into play just know that you're already doing the biggest part of the work just by meditating and the rest will come to you through your intuition wisdom and just deep inner knowing of your body and its needs and trusting that voice from within so let's connect to our body and let it know that we're here and we're listening taking a deep breath in and out we're just going to gently tune into our body releasing and relaxing all parts scanning from your toes up to your knees loosening and relaxing them up to your thighs feeling them sink into the surface below and up to your pelvis feeling this part loosen and let go of any pain we'll just stay here for a second breathing deeply into any pain or anxiety not trying to change it but just witnessing it as challenging as this can be watch and notice as your body warns you of the threat of endo and how our deep breathing gently lessens the alarm bells reminding it of what safety feels like and our ability to calm ourselves even in the throes of unrelenting and debilitating pain see the sensations loosen with each breath and let go slowly and surely now we'll just move our attention up to your heart feeling it release a bright light of self-love and compassion throughout your body remembering that it's normal to be scared right now and that's okay but just trust our inner wisdom to guide us with self-love and compassion and not fear so just tune into your heart and feel its beautiful energy with every beat and just watch as your chest moves up and down with every inhale and exhale and if your mind is wandering with a million fears don't worry just gently bring yourself back to this moment it's time to connect to your body and soul we'll just move up to your shoulders feeling them soften and release and with another deep breath in we'll move up to your stunning face loosening the brow wiggling the nose like in bewitched you know you can do it and just land softly on your lips and put a gentle smile on them feel the good feels that come from this reminding yourself that despite this illness you can and will still feel good in fact probably even better than before because we're minding the pain and finding the small moments of ease in life again after suffering and confusion and fear for so long good for you warrior be proud of yourself just stay here and feel the lightness of your body in this moment floating in self-love and assurance that we can and will cope with this life and never let endo stop us keep breathing deeply into any pain sensations watching them change and move with every inhale knowing that it will get better soon we're not broken and we never have been before we come back to the room just take a big inhale in through the nose and a nice sigh out we'll wiggle the fingers and toes give ourselves a nice big stretch and slowly open your eyes and let go i know it's probably feeling quite dark right now warrior but while i can't promise perfection i can guarantee a very fulfilled and beautiful life where you and your body are the most important asset and even with all of our struggles and challenges we can return to ourselves and the safety of our inner wisdom to know that in the end it'll all be okay even if it isn't today you fought so hard for the diagnosis now we get to fight hard for you and your best life go on now warrior you've got this
