This meditation is designed to support you during the delicate recovery period after surgery. This can be a physically and emotionally challenging time, and it’s important to acknowledge and validate everything you’re feeling - whether it’s relief, frustration, exhaustion, or hope. Through a gentle body scan visualisation, you’ll be guided to reconnect with your body with kindness - along with mantras and compassion-based affirmations to help you foster self-love, ease tension, and promote healing from within. Give yourself permission to rest, restore, and trust in your body’s incredible ability to heal. Really hope it helps, warrior. Massive thanks to Denis Pavlov from Pixabay for the beautiful background music.

Hello,

And thank you so much for joining me for this mind over endopain meditation,

Where we use science-based mindfulness tools to manage your endometriosis stress,

Pain,

And anxiety.

When you're ready,

I invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you,

Whichever you prefer,

Sitting up straight or lying down,

Your head,

Shoulders,

Belly,

And full body slowly relaxing and letting go.

We'll start with two deep belly breaths to allow us to slow down and anchor us here in the stillness.

Do this now at your own pace,

Allowing your body to float in a bubble of pure relaxation.

No matter if you're a few hours,

Days,

Or even months past your surgery,

It's important to continue to give your body this moment of space for true healing and comfort,

Pausing any nagging,

Unhelpful thoughts,

And just being here for ourselves as we look after our wellbeing.

And if the road has been challenging,

Don't worry warrior,

That doesn't mean that it won't get better.

As hard as it can be to think this way,

This too shall pass.

And just because we feel this way now,

Doesn't mean we will forever.

Don't lose hope.

Or maybe you're in an amazing place with your recovery and are just keeping up with the good tools to ensure you stay on that path.

No matter the reason you're here,

We'll make sure your body only gets the good feels just like you deserve.

So just breathing in and out,

I want you to feel the slow rise and fall of your chest and belly.

Watch as they move up and down,

Ensuring our belly expands as we inhale and deflates as we exhale.

Just gently tune into your forehead,

Release the brow if there's any tension or discomfort,

And feel the tingling sensations from that release.

Watch as these sensations travel to your shoulders,

Letting them drop away.

And just follow the nice tingle down to your belly.

This can be a sensitive area,

As our body does all the work it needs to do to heal.

So just be so compassionate to yourself during this time,

It's definitely not easy.

Without trying to change or resist any of the sensations,

We'll just gently tune into this part of the body,

Watching as the feelings change and move,

Moment to moment,

Hopefully seeing it let go and release.

Just try to picture the sensations as a color,

Shape,

Or even a letter or number.

Just witness the sensations as neutral objects,

And see if the pain is letting go or easing.

Not trying to force it,

But just staying with ourselves and our body,

Just breathing deeply into any pain or tension,

And watch as the sensations release with every exhale.

We'll just tune out of the sensations and find other places of safety in the body by following the tingle down to your thighs,

Letting them loosen and relax,

And watch as it travels to your knees,

Ankles.

Feel what safety feels like in these parts,

And thank your body for creating safety.

It can be so hard to come by when our body feels like this.

And while breathing deeply in,

Just gently place your hand on your heart,

And watch as the sensations of love travel from your heart to your hand,

And fully envelops your body in this beautiful healing energy.

And with a soft smile on your lips,

I want you to repeat,

I am safe and I am healing.

I am safe and I am healing.

Even if it's bad now,

This won't last forever.

Even if it's bad now,

This won't last forever.

My body is so beautiful,

And it's taking care of me.

My body is so beautiful,

And it's taking care of me.

Just place your hand back down,

And just let any emotions come to the surface.

This can be such a hard and confusing time,

But remember we can't trust our thoughts or emotions when we feel this way.

We just have to feel them,

Let them ride their course,

Process,

And let them pass,

And just allow ourselves to feel seen and loved.

Our body really needs it.

Before we come back to the room,

We'll just take a big inhale in through the nose,

And a nice sigh out.

One more time,

A big inhale in through the nose,

And a nice sigh out.

We'll wiggle the fingers and toes,

Give ourselves a nice big stretch,

And slowly open your eyes.

Stay in this space as long as you need,

Warrior.

Don't force yourself to feel better.

Just sit with whatever you're feeling,

Knowing that it will pass.

Take a moment to think about what your body needs right now.

Maybe a glass of water,

A cup of tea,

A nice walk,

Or maybe a Netflix marathon on the couch,

Not an ad.

There's no wrong answer.

Just be rest assured that the more you listen to your body during this vulnerable time,

The better the outcome for you.

Go on,

Warrior.

You've got this.
