Settling into yourself.
Meditation.
Please find a moment to settle down,
To make room for yourself in your personal space,
And choose a comfortable position,
Either standing or sitting with your feet flat on the ground,
And uncross your legs and arms as you are rearranging yourself.
Get as comfortable as it is possible for you right now.
You can soften your gaze or close your eyes completely.
Choose what speaks to you most at this moment.
Take a deep,
Slow breath.
And gently let it go.
The slower you go,
The deeper it gets.
Feel your whole body slowly settling inside itself,
Getting heavier as you become aware of the pull of gravity.
Keep watching your breath as it flows in and out of your body,
Slowly,
Softly,
Gently.
Just allow the breath to come into you.
Accept the breath into you.
Take a moment to greet yourself.
Acknowledge yourself and the fact that you showed up here today.
If you sense tightness or tension anywhere in your body right now,
Direct your breath from within into that area,
Intending for a gentle letting go to occur at your own comfortable pace.
Take another slow breath.
I invite you to begin to tone down the inner chatter,
To drop your thoughts and emotions from the day.
Let go of the conversations you might have had,
The inner dialogues you might have been engaged in.
Intend to send it all down into the ground below you with each effortless exhale.
And intend to bring back to you all of yourself,
Your energy that may have been scattered around,
So you can be fully and wholly present in this moment,
Wherever you are on the planet Earth.
You may have your energy returned to you in the form of a colored light,
Rain showering on the top of your head,
A sound,
A sensation of warmth or expansion from within.
It doesn't matter what form it takes,
Simply intend to call your energy back to you.
Take a slow,
Deep breath into your belly and deepen your awareness of self.
Use your breath as a gateway into your autonomic nervous system,
Signaling it to shift and sustain the state of relaxed alertness.
There is nothing else to do but breathe,
And nowhere else to be but here,
Now.
See if you can focus your awareness further and feel the omnipresent pull of gravity on your entire body,
Continuing to bring you into the grounded presence.
Feel that connection with gravity and recognize that everyone in your life is connected to Earth in exactly the same way,
Which makes us all,
As unique as we are,
Also interconnected with each other and equally supported by the ground below our feet.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow your body to deepen the state of peaceful presence you are in.
Allow everything within yourself to be exactly as it is,
With no judgment.
Entertain the idea that all the inner voices can be silent right now,
And you are in a state of quiet peace.
Witness how each breath,
As you allow it to fill up your lungs,
Brings you more fully into the now.
Breath is also what separates fear from excitement and joy.
When we are afraid,
We stop breathing.
When we are excited and joyous,
We take big breaths.
So I offer you to take such a breath full of positive emotions and let it out.
And let the outdated energy to vacate your body as you exhale.
Breath like that signals the body to start producing the hormones of joy and gratitude for the life you have been given.
And if we can learn to find gratitude in small things,
We can find it anywhere.
Feel that breath changing your chemistry for the better.
There is so much to be grateful for right now,
Isn't there?
And if you find yourself struggling with finding the reason to be grateful,
Well,
You are alive right now.
You get to feel,
You get to live,
You get to be in a physical body,
And so many are not.
Take another deep breath and expand the feeling of gratitude all around you.
Like a gentle breath,
Allow it to touch people in your life,
Animals,
Nature.
Allow it to pour on the entire planet as a way of saying thank you for having the life you live.
Notice how you feel.
Recognize that it is nearly impossible to hold the emotion of gratitude and anger or fear at the same time.
Expand your tolerance to feeling good.
And ask yourself,
How good can I feel here today?
Invite and allow yourself to experience more and more joy in your life as you let go with each exhalation of that which is no longer serving you.
Wrap your arms around you.
Give yourself a juicy hug.
Celebrate you.
Feel truly alive in this moment.
Have a lovely day or night and be well.
Thank you.
