Today's meditation is a short exercise,

A little practice that I recommend doing on a regular basis daily,

A couple times a day even,

Is wonderful.

This is based upon the work of John Friedlander.

It should not be performed while,

Or listened to while driving,

Operating a vehicle,

Doing any sort of heavy machinery work,

Anything that could otherwise require your full attention to be someplace else.

So,

You can begin by finding yourself in some sort of comfortable position that might be sitting up in one of those meditation postures with the spine erect,

Shoulders over your hips,

Chin slightly tilted in,

Your shoulders rolled back,

Dropped down softly.

If you'd rather sit in a chair,

Make sure you have a nice upright spine in a chair.

If you'd like to be laying down in a bed or even on your side,

Something like that.

It's also a wonderful choice here.

We'll begin again continuing with this breath,

With a nice slow inhale through the nose,

Feeling your belly expand.

You can even put your hands onto your belly,

Expanding that belly with a deep,

Full breath.

Then softly letting that air,

You don't have to hold onto it or force it as it leaves,

Just let go,

Letting go.

As you let that air go,

Soften any other muscles,

Your shoulders,

Your hips,

Back of your neck,

And your face.

Take another nice slow deep inhale through the nose,

Feel the air coming in through the tip of your nose,

Feel it traveling down and into that belly again,

Expanding that belly with a deep,

Deep breath.

Then again,

Softly releasing,

That means letting go,

Let it fall away,

Let the oxygen tumble out,

Let your muscles all release,

And just let it go.

Another nice slow deep inhale through the nose,

Another nice deep expansion of that belly,

Fully oxygenating that body,

Broad shoulders,

And then exhale,

Soften those shoulders,

Let them drop,

Let the rest of the torso and the body soften a little deeper,

A little bit more still.

And now go ahead and continue that breath pattern through the nose,

Deep into the belly,

And then exhale,

Letting it go,

Letting everything fall out,

Just let it release,

Let go,

Soften.

With that continued repeated breath pattern deep into the belly,

Bring your awareness outside of your skin,

Say 6 to 12 inches outside of your skin,

Feeling into what you would consider your energetic field,

Your aura,

The space of your energy in front of your chest,

6 to 12 inches everywhere,

Think around in your head,

Above your head,

To your right shoulder,

Outside of your left shoulder,

Behind your shoulder blades,

To your lower back,

Your sides,

Hips,

Beneath your tailbone,

Underneath your feet,

Beneath your body,

In front of your knees,

In front of your pelvis,

All of this space,

Feeling that whole sort of circular ring of energy,

Egg-shaped ring of energy around your whole body.

Examine that space now for something that feels like maybe it's kind of stuck in there,

Maybe some place where the energy just doesn't really feel like it's flowing,

Something,

Maybe it feels like there's something that's not yours,

Could be there's something that feels like it's outdated or doesn't serve you anymore,

Feels sticky,

Feels goopy,

Feels heavy,

Clumpy,

You might find other adjectives,

It's something,

And I say it's not even yours,

This doesn't belong to you,

It's stuck,

Attached,

You can find that space,

Find that energy,

Find that something,

Identify it,

You can think it and say thank you,

You can appreciate it and you can offer it back,

Say this doesn't serve me right now,

This isn't mine,

I can't really even use it to begin with,

But it's yours,

You'd like to have it back,

You can use it,

This is your energy,

It's not mine.

Soften it,

Let it go,

And then exhale,

Exhale,

Soften that a little bit more,

Feel that fall,

Feel that release,

Feeling it let it go,

Exhale,

Relax,

Scanning for anything more,

If there's something that feels like it's even really extra sticky,

It's like,

It's not really going away right,

First try,

Second try,

Third try,

Give it a little flower,

Give it a little rose,

Give it a little lotus flower,

Give it some feathers,

Give it a little piece of kick,

Give it some appreciation,

Say thank you,

Something lovely and beautiful,

Offer it to that,

If it won't go still,

Then you can imagine like the earth taking it away,

Maybe the earth will take it for you,

The earth can compost that for you,

Accept that energy down into the earth,

The earth can recycle it for you,

You can even send it back to the owner from where it came,

Or the sun,

You can have the sun come,

The sun can come down to that little energetic spot,

Dissolve it away,

Let the sun come,

Burning so bright,

Breaking up that energy into smaller and smaller pieces,

Until it just dissolves and goes away,

On every exhale,

Soften and let something fall away,

Release,

Let it go,

Falling away,

And then on an inhale,

Maybe there's something of yours that got stuck someplace else,

Maybe someone else has your energy attached to them,

I can't use it,

It's just clogging up their system,

Maybe there's a place or a thing,

Your energy got stuck attached to that,

That happens sometimes,

We just get attached to a thing,

Somebody gets attached to us,

We get attached to them,

It's part of being human,

Living in this life,

But they can't do anything with it,

And we would be more better served if we had our complete energy collected,

So on an inhale,

You can pull all your energy back into yourself,

Feel that all coming into yourself,

Feeling yourself coming more and more complete,

Pull all of your energy back,

Back,

Back from everywhere it's ever been,

Pulling it,

Getting more and more and more complete,

This is you,

Nobody else has this energetic feeling,

This feels like you,

More and more complete,

More and more you,

That's you,

Coming back home,

Pull yourself back into yourself,

All the way from all times and all directions,

Everywhere,

Keep pulling that in,

More and more and more,

Pulling yourself in together,

More and more and more,

Everywhere you've been attached or stuck,

Let go of that,

Come into yourself,

Come into your power,

Your power,

And then again,

On an exhale,

Release anything else that might feel like,

Oh,

Hello,

That's not me,

Let that go,

Goodbye,

Thank you,

Soften,

Allow it to release,

Allow it to go away,

That's not mine,

That's not mine,

That's not mine,

I don't need that anymore,

Thank you,

Let it go,

Do one more inhale,

One more deep pull,

Pull,

Pull,

Anything that is yours might be stuck anywhere else,

Feel that coming in,

Inhale,

Pulling yourself back into yourself,

Even more and more complete,

So full,

So completely full,

Much more,

All of yourself,

All of your energy comes in tight,

Thicker,

More full,

And then exhale,

One more softening and letting anything else go that's not yours,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

Okay,

And that completes today's short little meditation,

I do recommend doing this every day,

Couple times a day,

Well once you've done it a few times on your own,

You wouldn't really have to listen to this anymore,

You could just do it anywhere you are,

On the bus,

You could do it in the backyard,

You could do it in your bed before you get out,

Or in your bed before you fall asleep,

In the bathtub,

Just a few minutes of slow releasing and recalling the energies,
