Welcome to Meditation Tides with Michelle Sanctuary.

Let the tides of this practice help you take the quiet pause you deserve.

Draw your energy inward and receive the deep rest that nature encourages.

I am Michelle and you may think of me as a dear friend and advocate who wishes you make things a little gentler and kinder for yourself.

As you close your eyes and find stillness,

Honor the wisdom of nature granting permission to pause,

To rest,

And to simply be in the deep,

Quiet shelter of this moment.

With this sentiment,

Turn your attention to your breath and let out a soft,

Releasing sigh.

Visualize your breath flowing out of your mouth,

Imagining it has the power to freeze time.

Find yourself moving slower as every molecule radiates with your intention to take a little break.

As you inhale deeply,

You may hold your breath at the top if it feels right,

To find a little quiet pause in the infinite noise and busyness of modern life.

Continue to breathe with ease and grace as you imagine standing at the edge of a sleeping forest in late winter.

The trees are bare,

Strong,

And silent.

The world outside is hushed since the gentle invitation of the season itself.

The need for hibernation,

Rest,

And renewal.

You are a part of nature,

And you deserve this quiet pause.

Inhale the frosty air,

Even sensing tiny ice crystals forming in your nose.

They remind you of your vitality,

Your aliveness.

As you exhale,

Your breath forms clouds in the air,

Visual proof of what is always there,

Even when it goes unseen.

And in this quiet forest,

You are warm and bundled,

But drawn to the slowing down of life around you.

As you proceed on the path,

Your feet crunching atop the pristine white blanket below let go of the idea that you must be in constant motion or bright productivity.

With an audible exhale,

Free yourself of the light's demand.

With an audible exhale,

Free yourself from such demands.

Welcome a day that flows as patiently as the slow,

Smooth movement of a gentle river beneath a layer of ice.

As you inhale again,

Your breath becomes a soft,

Silver light flowing through you with the warm,

Comforting presence of a thick,

Quiet blanket.

As your body expands,

This light grows,

Filling you with deep,

Soothing,

Calm.

As you exhale,

Watch it spread outward,

Creating a beautiful,

Soft,

Sheltered space around you.

Now bring to mind any thoughts or sensations that may have suggested in the past that you need to rush or worry or constantly be on the go.

Envision these pressures as fast-moving,

Icy winds outside your protective sphere.

You can watch everything else get caught up in them,

But not you.

With every deep breath you take,

The walls of this sanctuary grow thicker,

Warmer,

And softer.

Your breath is the gentle hand that seals out the flurry of noise and demands.

Every cell in your body receives the pleasure of this moment,

Encouraging you to continue with this quiet pause.

Feel the relief in your muscles,

Softening in your mind.

This is your place of deep shelter.

In this haven,

The winter's rest informs you that slowness is essential.

There is immense power and readiness born from quietude.

Nature gives so many moments for a quiet pause.

From the still of night to the beginning of a new day.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Visualize setting aside a few precious moments each day.

A small,

Sacred window of time dedicated only to this quiet pause.

See yourself stopping the action.

Perhaps it is before you leave your home,

Or answer a call,

Or start a new task.

You pause.

You breathe in the deep rest of the season.

You exhale the need to rush.

Imagine yourself honoring this simple,

Restorative ritual.

Notice how this small,

Intentional moment of drawing inward brings immediate clarity.

Notice how it slows down the rush of expectations and how it allows you to move forward from an empowering,

Tranquil place of rest rather than depletion.

You may seal the world off with a protective orb.

Drawing into your inner sanctuary for this quiet pause whenever you need it.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Take one final deep breath in,

Holding onto this feeling of deep,

Winter-informed stillness.

Slowly exhale,

Letting out any remaining tension.

And set your personal dedication to carry this practice with you throughout your day and times that are busy in your life.

When the pace quickens,

Remember the soft invitation of the night and the stillness of the winter forest.

Remember your right to the quiet pause.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey today.

I hope you move forward with a soft,

Quiet strength,

Always remembering the power of drawing inward.

Until next time,

This is Michelle wishing these meditation tides help you through each day with gentle fluidity.
