Take a deep breath in and let it go,
Gently closing the eyes down,
Breathing deeply and slowly at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Allow yourself to breathe in peace,
And on the out-breath let go of any emotional weight you're carrying.
Feel your body supported by the ground beneath you,
With each breath coming home to yourself,
Releasing worries you're holding about the future,
Returning to this moment.
Now in your minds eye gently notice all the places your energy has gone,
To people,
Problems,
Worries that are not yours to carry.
See those threads of energy stretching out from you.
And now with love,
Begin to draw them back,
Call your energy home.
Gather that light,
That strength,
Back into your body.
Feeling yourself becoming whole again,
Grounded,
Centred and at peace.
As you gather your energy,
Imagine releasing everyone else to their own sacred journey.
Trust that they are walking the path they need to walk.
You can love them deeply,
And still release them to experience their own lessons,
Growth and wisdom.
Acknowledging that though it can be hard to watch others struggle,
It is often in the struggle and discomfort that we take our first step to healing.
We can only control our own choices,
But by mindfully walking our own path,
Staying focused on cultivating our own inner peace,
We light the way by leading through example.
Continuing to take deep slow breaths,
Repeat the following affirmations with me,
Either out loud or in your mind.
I call my energy back to me now.
I release all problems and situations that do not belong to me.
I let go of what is not mine to carry.
I trust in the unfolding of every person's path.
I release the need to fix or control anyone else's journey.
Every soul has their own timing,
And I honour that.
I trust that even in struggle,
There is growth and purpose.
I let go of rushing anyone's healing.
I allow others the dignity of their own choices.
I give myself permission to let go of control.
I trust that discomfort is often the teacher we need.
I will not rob someone of the lessons that they need to learn by interfering.
I release fear and replace it with trust in the process of life.
It is not my job to carry what others must learn to carry themselves.
I choose compassion without attachment.
I allow myself to step back,
Knowing that love does not mean fixing everything for others.
I trust that everyone is exactly where they are meant to be right now.
I honour the divine timing of growth,
Healing and change.
My peace grows when I release what is not mine to hold.
I choose to care without carrying the weight of other people's problems.
I choose inner peace over external chaos.
I send love outward while keeping my focus on my own journey.
I deserve to feel light,
Free and whole.
My energy is precious and I spend it wisely.
I am safe in my own space.
I am grounded,
Whole and at peace within myself.
I return to myself now.
I choose to stay in my own lane.
My worth is not tied to fixing or saving others.
Other people's problems and emotions and struggles are their own responsibility.
I am free and safe to release others to walk their own path.
I hand over my worries to my higher power.
I choose peace over control.
I choose to care about those I love with an open heart and strong boundaries.
I refuse to spend time in situations that do not serve me or in toxic situations.
I choose to spend time with those who treat me with respect and kindness.
I hold compassion for myself as I let go.
I choose to honor my own life,
My own path and my own dreams.
I choose to focus on the life I wish to create for myself.
I take action toward creating that life.
I move toward a life that is healthy and peaceful.
I return to my own life,
My own path,
My own breath.
Take one more deep breath in and let it go.
Begin to return to the body,
Noticing the environment around you,
The sensation of air on your skin and the gentle rhythm of your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Throughout the day,
If you notice that your focus is on other people's problems or situations,
Allow yourself a moment to pause.
Take a deep breath and remind yourself,
This burden is not mine to carry.
Release the breath and then think of one thing that you can do to increase your own inner peace and nurture your wellness.
Remember that the greatest teacher leads by example.
You may not steer their ship,
But your inner peace is a lighthouse for someone else's journey.
