Dare to connect.
When one decides to walk a path,
Whether they call it a spiritual path or a path of self-discovery they're answering some kind of call or a yearning for something more out of life no matter what that path is it will undoubtedly provide challenges adventures,
Obstacles for growth or straight out pain as one begins to unravel the layers of protection that they've built up over the years this is why in our instinctive meditation practice we believe it it's important to develop a practice that is based around being in love with life and the world.
A practice that is full of intimacy is natural and instinctive and that connects you with your true nature often people who are searching for a path will look to follow what they perceive as the way,
The Buddhist way,
The Zen way or even to be a little bit funny about it the Jedi way no matter which of these ways we often see or hear that we need to focus clear our minds,
Still our thoughts so that our mind becomes like the surface of a still lake empty and simply reflective.
In truth there may at some times in a meditation practice be moments like this where there is stillness,
Where there is calmness where there is peace however there can be a lot of self judgment and foreword slapping when these ideals are not attained after an hour or sitting or weeks or months or years of practicing techniques that were developed for people who had none of the life experience that we have and none of the responsibilities that we have today why is this piece called Dare to Connect?
Well,
Simply in the process of becoming intimate with life itself you're going to encounter life in all of its energies by connecting with our senses we open ourselves more fully to not only the outer world but also to our inner world by connecting to our instincts and desires we open up to that which we need to survive and thrive and crave to live life fully when we connect to the rhythms of life breath,
Seasons,
Rhythms of the moon day and night the rhythms that are in our own bodies these pulsing movements of life we begin to understand that there is a rhythm to life and death and that we have limited time and we don't want to waste it on those activities that do not serve us when we dare to connect to nature we open ourselves up to the ache of seeing beauty so astonishing that it can take our breath away and when we open ourselves up to love we dare to connect to others in such a way that we see who they are we understand that they are just like ourselves and are seeking connection the same way that we are that we're all the same just trying in our own way to peel away the layers of the past let's take a moment to listen and feel into the Radiant Sutra,
Sutra 101 from Dr.
Lauren Roche the reality of the divine is everywhere apparent even or especially among people who haven't even thought about it the very nature of our consciousness to be an individual is in essence divine the excitement of the eternal one is throbbing in the heart of every creature know this and be without superiority inferiority or resentment at your own limitations when we connect with life in all its forms through all the different lenses that we see the world through our senses through our desires our instincts our loves rather than detaching we are really walking the path of intimacy and we realize there is nowhere to go but to connect with who we are to tune in with the life force as it manifests in us as it manifests in those around us and the world around us we open ourselves up to beauty to love to the emotion of energy that is emotion to tenderness to aches to the stinging pain to the full tapestry of experience and this this is daring dare to connect to life dare to connect
