Contraction is the opposite of expansion. In fear, fight and flight we contract, shrink and protect. In safety, we expand, reach out and open up our arms to embrace. Sometimes when we are shy or scared or living in fear we recoil run and hide. But sitting in meditation allows us to be honest with our state and then breathe into expansion. Opening one's mind will begin to trickle into opening one's body and heart. Given the expansion is safe and wise (which will be differented while sitting).

Good morning.

Opulent mindfulness.

Welcome.

Today's meditation is called,

Want More?

Expand More.

I was sitting around the breakfast table yesterday morning with a bunch of brilliant people and we were talking about our goals for 2019.

One young,

Vivacious woman said,

She'd like to have more independence,

Financially.

So it got me thinking.

She has so much energy.

She has so much talent.

She has a giant social network.

She's super bright,

Stylish,

Ambitious,

But the one area she would like to gain more independence is financially.

So I think we can all relate.

There are areas where we feel overwhelming abundance and there are areas in our lives where we feel scarcity and fright with not enough depletion,

Lack.

So with this in mind,

I thought we'd meditate on expanding and bathing ourselves in those areas where we do feel abundance and focus on that vibrational energy.

Let your body open up and your mind open up and acknowledge and receive all the abundance that you do have instead of focusing and shrinking the brain around that which we do not have enough of.

And eventually,

You will.

That's how this works.

Cross training,

Getting more fit in those areas where we need more fitness.

You know how.

You have the tools.

You have the ability.

You have a natural tendency.

So let it take over and leak into the areas where you need help.

This practice is private and it's humbling.

You're welcome to be vulnerable and honest with yourself.

So come to your comfortable seat.

Press down through your base.

Lift your heart high and take a big belly breath in and a long and silky breath out.

If you feel safe,

You're welcome to close your eyelids all the way down or take a steady,

Slightly downward gaze.

That's something still.

So drop into where you are today in this moment in your life,

In your body and in your heart space.

Be with yourself as you are,

Resisting temptation to fidget and to make perfect.

Correct and fix and hurry up and hurry over and be done.

Just be here and be still and drop into contentedness.

It is available to you right now.

Refresh your posture.

Press down.

Lift your heart high.

Breathe in.

Let your face glow,

Receive and shine.

Notice where your mind leads.

Which way it's leaning,

Where it's meandering and drop into simplicity.

Come back to right now.

Your eyes are heavily resting in their sockets off to the sides.

Your mind's eye sees to the great distance and rests itself on a steady,

Bright,

White light on the horizon.

Tune into your body.

Notice your breathing.

Don't make breathing.

Simply notice the breathing.

Now let's bring our awareness to an area where you feel abundant,

Overflowing,

Full of life at your best.

You've got this area of your life mastered.

Maybe it's keeping order.

Maybe it's exercise.

Maybe it's diet.

Maybe it's friendships.

Maybe it's your zest for travel.

Whatever it is where you feel masterful and alive and natural,

You want more of it because you love it.

It lights you up.

So be in that space even more.

Expand out.

Press your body out.

Get large.

Fill up.

Take in that experience,

That sensation of vitality in that space.

Let your mind relax into more openness.

Spreading out.

Being as large as you are in that space.

Not wishing for the other,

But being in this more.

Be in this even more and take up space.

Sit.

Spend time.

Drop in and drop tension.

Release to find ease.

When you think of the other,

Areas where you feel depletion,

Lack,

Scarcity,

Bring this mindset of expansion.

You've got this masterful ownership in the other area of your life.

Overlay that energy into the scary area.

Take your time.

Your body might change,

Your view,

Your forehead.

Take your time.

Let your body open.

Shine,

Receive,

Expand into these areas just like you would in your masterful areas.

You've got this.

Enjoyed the process of mentally expanding the abundance and positive things in my life. I felt like the guided meditation ended too abruptly though. Would have liked a minute to transition back into the room and current life situation. Thank you for facilitating this experience!
