Opulent mindfulness,
Welcome.
Today's meditation is entitled,
Love is Peaceful,
Love is Kind.
And if they say we are love,
Our being at its most granular and central existence is love,
Then simply by being love you are peaceful,
You are kind.
And it's not the peace that we exchange with a loved one piece,
Or the kindness that we have to exchange with society if you love someone you're kind to them.
No by simply being in the state of love that you are closest to your core,
Then you are a walking being of kindness,
You are a walking being of peacefulness.
So we practice love and its outward channels through acts of kindness and open peaceful hearts.
But most importantly,
Dropping into our own existence and cultivating from within this beautiful,
Powerful,
Omnipresent state of love.
In your comfortable seat,
Press down through your base,
Sit up tall,
Take a big belly breath in and a long and easeful breath out.
And of course the prayer poem goes on,
Love does not boast.
So when you're living in your state of love,
It's not a place of ego,
Proving or wanting anything,
Anything from anyone to obtain material worldly goods,
Status,
Power,
Money,
And even looking for love.
No we are love.
We exist as that state.
You take it with you wherever you go,
With whomever you interact and channeled through all of the actions we take.
How simple.
Press down through your base,
Lift your heart high,
Take a big belly breath in and a long and peaceful breath out.
Where did you go?
Maybe you reflect back on a time where you felt you had to change yourself for someone else to be loved,
Or the pain of a love going away.
The love resides within.
And while the weather patterns change,
The deep,
Deep oceanic movement and existence of your love does not.
There will be ripples,
There will be waves.
But the deep abiding love sustains and remains.
Trust this.
Drop into it,
Lean into it,
And really allow for the simplification of this single,
Solitary,
A priori job to be love.
Wow life just got easier.
We don't have to reach for it,
We don't have to try to keep it.
We don't have to be sad when it's gone.
And thus this practice of meditation staying in the middle is the state of love,
Constant,
Pervasive ever present.
Relax your body into this knowledge,
Recognizing that a lot of our suffering comes from out there.
Out there,
Opinions,
Judgment,
Moods,
Fluctuations,
Situations.
Move into the deep swell within,
The abiding,
Constant,
Ever present,
Steady love.
Let your eyes be heavy,
And your cheeks tingle.
Filling with life that you have generated from within.
Relax into the knowing.
This love is always with you.
Cultivating it here in our seated stillness practice.
Cultivating love through acts of kindness.
And cultivating love through prayer and presence.
Sometimes the world intervenes and gets between us and our love.
Dissolve the walls.
Pause and stand still,
Enjoying a moment of peace,
A moment of natural beauty,
Soaking this in.
Lighting up each and every cell of your body.
Totally existing in a state of love.
Why does it seem so elusive?
Does the noise,
The agitations,
The focus on the external consume us until we whittle away?
All the shells slough off the dead skin and break down barriers.
Can we truly continue to melt into love?
Hear the inner voice of love,
And then extend ourselves with love rolling off our fingertips,
Our tongues,
And the sheen in our eyes.
Yes,
Simple,
But not easy,
Available,
But not always accessible.
Lean into these moments of difficulty.
Let them give you pause so you may stop and shift.
Love is peaceful.
Love is kind.
You are love.
