So much of our days are spent chasing....chasing down a dream, working working working and getting things done. Now, we need to spend equal parts receiving. Refueling, softening and receiving are all necessary parts of the equation in order to balance out the go-getter in all of us. Do the chase, stop, do the wait. Enjoy!

Hello,

Welcome.

OMBITES.

Today's meditation is entitled,

Chase it to Receive it.

How much of our time do we spend chasing,

Chasing,

Running,

Striving,

Trying to get somewhere or get something and we don't spend any time receiving?

Or I should say less time,

Very little time receiving.

Today's meditation is discussing the balance between the time spent chasing and the absolutely necessary time spent receiving.

Two different energies,

Our bodies are resilient and able to change and it's natural,

The human body wants to remain in motion so chasing is quite natural,

Receiving is quite natural.

Think of the male anatomy,

Think of the human female anatomy.

And there you have it,

But balance must be restored.

If we're always chasing,

We forget what we're chasing and why.

If we're always receiving,

We become slovenly,

Loathsome creatures.

So we strike the balance and meditation is the practice.

So come to your comfortable seat.

Press down and lift your heart high,

Take a big belly breath in and a long and soothing breath out.

We'll begin with the sound of the cymbal and conclude the same way.

So allow your body to get into a state of ease and first practice receiving.

Drop into your bones and lift your heart high,

Breathe in with ease and out with greater grounding attention.

Make sure your body feels all stirred up,

Momentum moving you forward,

Agitated,

Going,

Going,

Going and it's very uncomfortable to sit still.

It's okay,

This is natural but necessary.

Feel the body transitioning into stillness,

Releasing your weight into your hips,

Relax across the chest and soften your belly.

And ironically enough,

The more time we spend receiving,

Waiting,

Open arms extended,

Harvesting the fruits of our labors,

We start incubating energy to go out and continue the chase.

So it's cyclical.

And helps us to identify the imbalance.

Starting in stillness,

Letting the mind race,

Thoughts sputter out.

Thoughts are okay,

Thoughts are healthy,

Thoughts are stress bubbles leaving the body.

Let it happen now.

So when you're finished with meditation and you're operating in the world,

Your thoughts are now clouding,

Your vision,

Your thoughts are not distracting you,

Your thoughts have found a home or left.

The unimportant ones leave the body and leave your consciousness.

Drop into your bones,

Lift your heart high,

Take a big belly breath in and a long and soothing breath out.

And if there's any doubt,

We turn to nature.

Again,

Much like the male and female anatomy,

Look at the breath we receive and release the breath.

Let it happen on its own natural rhythm.

Feel the inspiration to do the chase and feel the need to restore and repose equally.

When we chase from a place of inspiration,

The energy is cultivated naturally.

So we're less likely to feel drained.

And we know receiving and rest are just around the corner,

Recharging the batteries,

Filling up your tank.

In these precious special moments,

Pause,

Quiet the eyes and rest your physicality.

Wait for your turn.

Wait for things to come your way.

Be patient so you may receive.

And the more we build awareness around receiving,

Naturally we build more awareness around the chase itself.

Why am I chasing?

What am I chasing?

Is it fear-based chasing?

What do I get at the end of the chase?

Is it fulfilling?

Is it rewarding?

Is it purposeful?

And we begin to shape our direction and the velocity of our chase.

Meditation provides us that exact clarity.

Take a big belly breath in and a long and soothing breath out.

Recharging and receiving in equal parts.

Namaste.
