Transcript

This is an intro to meditation for the true beginner.

You can just find a comfortable seat,

Lengthen through the crown of the head,

Soften the shoulder blades down the back,

And begin to just tune into the breath.

The mind might be busy.

We can begin to notice it,

To become a witness to all the thoughts,

All the thoughts that are arising and passing away.

They are impermanent.

Can we begin to sit into the seat of a witness?

One who notices when the thoughts arise,

And then to simply come back to the breath.

Inhale and the exhale.

Continue to notice your body.

Notice the breath,

The quality of the breath,

How it feels.

To inhale and exhale.

In this moment,

There's nothing else you need to do.

Gently coming back to the breath.

The breath becomes the bridge to the present moment.

In this moment,

I don't need to worry about the future.

I don't need to reflect on the past.

I'm inviting myself deeper and deeper into the present moment.

The simple inhale and exhale becomes the bridge for me to step into peace,

Solitude,

Clarity.

I allow myself to fully be with the breath.

You can take a deep breath in,

And slowly let it out.

You can gently open your eyes,

Being present,

And just notice how you feel.

This beautiful gift you gave to yourself to return to the present moment.

"Clear out the garbage of the mind BEFORE MEDITATION"(??!) might be the most 'mind boggling' tips for meditation I have ever encountered.

The tip on bringing my mind back to the breath was a token for a newbie.

That makes so much sense to meditate after a thorough work out of the body. Bless you for suggesting that and explaining the cycle and the Mind and Body Connection period have a great day
