This meditation is about embracing the shadow self.
The shadow can be seen as our lower nature,
Sometimes the opposite of our highest self.
But as we journey on our path to healing,
Self-awareness,
Self-mastery,
And awakening,
We realize that there's no higher self without the shadows.
Just as there's no light without the darkness,
Both serve each other and for many of us,
We wouldn't be on our path if it wasn't for walking in our shadows.
We must accept and embrace the shadows to transcend beyond them and to not be chained to them or any lower vibrational forms of energy.
This meditation can bring up discomfort,
Pain,
Trauma.
So please proceed with compassion and gentleness for yourself.
We cannot heal what we hate.
I'm going to begin by calling forth our shadow.
You can start to focus on your heart chakra.
You can even place your hands in prayer hands over your heart.
Take a deep breath here.
You can bring to mind a moment in time a version of yourself or part of yourself that experienced,
Hurt,
Or is unhealed.
In moments you may feel regret around or pain around.
Whatever comes up that is in your shadow,
In your unconscious subconscious that you may not presently work through.
If it comes,
Allow it to come to your heart.
Take three deep breaths as you sit with this.
Take three deep breaths as you sit with this.
Whether you hurt yourself or someone else,
Whether you felt guided by dark forces,
Fear,
Manipulation,
Anger,
Continue to sit with this energy form for another three breaths at your own pace.
If any pain arises,
Allow yourself to breathe through it and with each breath dissolve the weight and heaviness and intensity of this pain.
If any pain arises,
Allow yourself to breathe through it and with each breath dissolve the weight and heaviness and intensity of this pain.
Allow yourself to face however this shadow is coming up.
See it,
Observe it,
And ultimately allow yourself to accept it.
We're going to move into some affirmations which you can recite aloud or in your head.
I accept my shadow self and embrace it,
For it has guided me to my highest self.
My shadows are a part of my story,
My spiritual path,
And my karma.
My past mistakes,
Lessons,
And imperfections don't define me.
I meet my shadow with both accountability and compassion.
It is my birthright to forgive myself and others.
All parts of me want to be healed and whole.
I'm worthy because I exist and I'm here.
I will not let the fear of failure,
Shame,
Or guilt hold me from the truth.
I will not let the fear of failure,
Shame,
Or guilt hold me from my highest form and being happy.
I'm worthy of love,
Joy,
And infinite peace.
I accept and embrace my shadow self,
For it has guided me to my highest self.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale.
Now from your heart chakra,
Envision it beaming with a beautifully green emerald light,
The color of the heart chakra,
The anahata.
Visualize this bright green light and visualize that you're sending this flowing,
Vibrant,
Bold light of unconditional love to your shadow self,
To your past incarnations,
To any version of you that was overcome with unconsciousness,
Pain,
Fear,
Anger,
Or the unconscious desire to hurt yourself or others.
Let this light flow from your heart.
Visualize it flowing as an energy stream because everything is energy.
Can you visualize your shadow as a physical shadow behind you,
Above you,
In front of you?
Let the light flow to that shadow.
And as it flows to that shadow,
It dissolves the weight,
The pain,
The darkness.
Whenever you're ready,
You can say thank you to your shadow,
Your shadow self,
Your past self,
Any aspects of you that you wish to release.
You can say thank you and send them off with light.
And if these aspects of yourself or the moments tied to them resurface,
You can greet them with the same acceptance,
Compassion,
Forgiveness,
And unconditional love.
You can end this by just giving yourself a big hug,
Embracing yourself,
Your whole self,
All aspects of yourself.
Although your shadow doesn't define you,
It's a part of your journey and it is a piece of you.
You can still love yourself as you learn to face it and accept it.
Thank you.
