As you transition from day into night,

Prepare yourself for deep healing rest.

Place your body in the shape of Shavasana,

Lying on your back.

Create enough softness underneath you to allow your shoulders to drop away from your sternum and to fall softly onto your back,

Supported,

Held at ease.

There will be many small adjustments to your body to bring you into a deep state of relaxation.

Start by rotating your arms to support the upward turning of your palms.

Free your hands of any blankets or coverings.

Let the magic of night and sleep touch the most sensitive part of your hands,

Your palms.

Release any gripping deep inside your hips.

Let your knees and toes fall gently away from midline.

Blur the boundaries of hard and soft as each cell of your body expands into a soft circle held in place by gravity.

Let yourself be washed in a full body scan as you smooth your breath over your arms,

Your chest,

And your stomach,

Your whole torso bathed in breath.

With the eyes softly closed,

Awaken the inner eye,

Inner awareness,

And watch your breath as it dances brilliantly in and out of your body like a tethered kite to an ocean wave.

Begin the slow,

Soft descent from thinking into being.

From subtle into the physical.

Bring your mind back home.

Gather awareness of yourself,

Your hard edges,

Bone,

Teeth,

Nails,

Joints,

Ligaments,

And tendons.

Gather awareness of yourself,

Your soft edges,

Skin,

Hair,

Muscle,

Blood,

Breath,

And your body.

Observe any sensations that are present as you make the transition from thinking to feeling and holding.

Hold on to the gift of awareness as we walk through your physical layer to touch the subtler layers of self and our deep inner connectedness to all that is.

Touch yourself as you settle into rest.

Make comfortable any place within your body that has not yet settled.

Support your body.

This is a declaration of love.

When the human mind settles into rest,

We often find ourselves wandering,

Taking us to places of our past and taking us into the future.

All of this is outside of the present moment,

Creating tension in the body.

Your mind tethered to your breath,

To the sensations that you're experiencing.

When there is tension in your body,

This is a separation,

Keeping you apart from deep rest and healing that you're craving.

Learning to hold awareness of the subtle and dense bodies offers the potential of healing all layers of self.

When we enter sleep from this place,

We open ourselves to a portal of possibility that includes much more than eight hours of rest.

You open up to an underwater world that exists in your lower consciousness.

The land of symbolism and abstract meaning,

The aspects of your personality,

Your preferences bubble up to be seen,

Felt,

Understood.

There is no label of good or bad,

Just simply awareness that it is here.

If you fall asleep during this practice,

Your underworld will still be present.

The revealing may not touch your awake awareness,

But it's still there.

Continue to soften your body as you connect this wandering mind into the effervescent quality of breath,

Spirit,

Breathing.

There is no need to modify your breath or create a breath that isn't natural,

No matter what way you're breathing.

Let it guide you into the truest state of your surrender.

I accept what is.

I am where I'm at.

I don't have to change anything or do anything different.

I'm here as a passive observer from a soft body,

Witnessing the way my breath connects me into a slower,

More peaceful way of being.

Drop even deeper into the underworld.

Surrender to the night,

To see the light of who you are.

From soft awareness,

Soft body,

You have access to a layer of subconscious where all of your stories,

Experiences,

Memories have formed a protective belief about who you are and how you see the world.

These memories and experiences,

Mostly unknown to us,

Shape the way we perceive ourselves,

Others,

And our experiences.

We're never truly experiencing the moment.

We're experiencing it through layers of our past,

Moments that we remember,

And moments that we have lost consciousness to.

They move around like ghosts in the night,

Reordering the floor plan of what we consciously choose to keep it the same as yesterday.

But you here,

Right now,

You are softly awake and aware to what they are.

With your eyes closed,

You're able to see the manual that you have created for yourself.

Once you have seen that,

You have this pure potential to write a new one.

If you have ever heard of Sankalpa or are working with Sankalpa,

You will know just how important it is to life's work.

This is your compass towards healing and an omen on your journey.

It's the lesson that you will work with in love and challenge.

A Sankalpa represents your heart's knowing of its own wholeness.

It is the hidden piece that is kept behind samskara,

Experiences,

Memories,

Stories of who you are and what you need to do to stay alive and safe.

Your Sankalpa is your heart's fullest expression of its memory.

You are already whole.

There is not a single piece of you missing.

What you long for,

What you crave,

Is underneath the subconscious drive to stay alive,

Unchanged.

Your Sankalpa is you,

Fully alive,

Fully expanded.

Whatever it is that you wish to be seen for,

That you wish to feel,

That you wish to be,

That is your Sankalpa.

And it is your remembrance that you already are.

Here you are,

With your head softly supported,

Body relaxed at an auspicious time of magic and alchemy.

Right here,

Right now,

You have a ripe opportunity to not just stay alive,

But to become fully alive.

By planting your Sankalpa right before you drift,

The mind goes to work all night on what it is you wish to create.

Not what it is you're running from,

Not what it is you desire to change,

What is wrong,

But it is everything that is right.

Your Sankalpa may make you uncomfortable at first.

If it's something that you have been conditioned to feel very separate from,

I am worthy.

I am loved.

I am safe.

I am free.

It may look or sound like any of those.

What is it that you desire?

What is the feeling underneath the desire?

Begin with I am and finish with the feeling that you desire.

I am.

Quickly repeat inside,

Three times your Sankalpa,

Letting it drop deep down into the root of consciousness,

The pilot of life.

Three times.

I am.

I am.

I am.

There is nothing to hang onto,

To control.

Let it drop all the way to the base of consciousness,

To the root of self that remembers,

Watering roots.

Let it fall away deep down into the darkness.

Let your awareness settle at the base of your neck.

Move your breath.

Inhale and exhale through the very base of your skull.

Please start to feel the breath moving underneath your skull and around your brain.

Feel the grip of your skull loosen,

Loosening its hold on each tiny hair follicle,

Each eyelid,

Nasal passage,

Teeth,

Tongue,

Jaw.

Feel the expansiveness of your whole skull.

Whole skull.

Whole skull.

Drop deeper into yourself to feel the pulse of blood wash over your back,

Upper back,

Shoulder blades,

Bottom of your shoulder blades,

Your low back.

See if there's anywhere to soften the muscle across your back body,

Back of your arms,

Your whole back,

Glutes,

Upper legs,

Lower legs,

Heels,

Calves,

Thighs,

Pelvis.

Stomach.

Breathing chest.

Arms.

Throat.

Chin.

Jawline.

Cheeks.

Mouth.

Lungs.

Eyes.

Forehead.

Third eye chakra.

Third eye chakra.

Third eye chakra.

From the center of your forehead and through the lens of your third eye chakra,

Feel the energy moving and surrounding your body.

Slide into the feminine seat of watching your breath,

Receiving your breath once again.

Nothing's changing.

Just soft watching of breath.

Let awareness slip into the masculine act of moving your breath,

Changing its length and depth.

For five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Out,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Begin to count your breath backwards from 33.

I am breathing in 33.

I am breathing out 33.

If awareness becomes detached and your mind wanders,

Come right back to 33.

There's no race or time.

Be Cycled awareness.

Sink awareness into gravity,

Resting against your skin as you let go of counting your breath.

Step deeper into your body.

Feel the heaviness of your body and the weight of gravity as you're held to this earth.

Gravity touching your whole body,

Holding you safely to the earth,

Grounding,

Heavy.

Heavy.

Heavy.

You're on the moon.

Gravity is gone.

Feel yourself detached from the anchor of gravity.

Experience the lightness of your body floating as gravity relaxes and you become buoyant like a ship on water.

Floating.

Floating.

Floating.

Without moving,

Create an internal experience of anchored.

Anchor yourself.

To experience the sensation of groundedness,

Steadiness,

And floating lightness at the same time.

Total relaxation.

Safety.

Soothing.

Surrender.

If awareness is still present,

Attach Sen Kapa to a rock.

Write it on the rock three times.

I am.

I am.

I am.

And let it drop.

All the way down.

Until it completely vanishes from sight.

Detach from awareness.

Soft body.

Slow steady breath.

Welcome.

Deep,

Healing sleep.
