And beginning by settling into your posture,
Either sitting or lying down,
And if you haven't already,
Either gently closing down your eyes or finding a soft,
Steady gaze at a point in front.
As you arrive here in this state of stillness,
Allow the noise around you and within your mind to start to fall away,
Out of focus.
And beginning to draw your awareness down into the experience of your body,
And becoming aware of the weight of your body,
The density of your body,
And the experience of being held and supported by the surfaces beneath you.
From this place of groundedness and connection with yourself,
Taking a few long,
Full,
Nourishing breaths right the way down into your belly,
And with each exhalation that follows,
Seeing if you can allow yourself to let go of the habitual tendency to search outside of yourself,
To wish that things were different,
The story and belief that you'll be happier when.
Instead,
Allowing yourself to arrive here in this moment exactly as you are,
Welcoming in a deep sense of peace for the simple act of just being,
Not needing to change anything at all,
Just allowing yourself to experience the gentle rising and falling of each breath,
Perhaps noticing how good it feels to rest and breathe,
Aware of the simple pleasure of being here in connection with yourself,
Needing nothing more than whatever it is that you're experiencing in this moment,
Even if things feel challenging for you right now,
Even in the midst of struggle and adversity,
Knowing that all you need to do right now is simply be here and breathe.
As you sit with this beautiful,
Peaceful energy,
Allow yourself to reflect on three moments,
However big or small,
That you feel thankful for today,
Allowing this subtle energy of appreciation to flow throughout your entire being,
Connecting you with the peace and contentment that's always here within you,
Just allowing yourself to rest here in this moment with your body soft,
Your breath effortlessly flowing,
Feeling into the sense of peace within you,
Knowing that all is well in this moment,
Not needing to do or change anything at all,
And just resting here in this energy of peace and contentment for the final few moments of practice.
When you feel ready,
Slowly beginning to draw your breath in a little bit deeper once again,
Finding small movements through your fingers and your toes,
Taking any movements or stretches that you need,
Taking all the time you need to ease your way out of this practice slowly and mindfully,
Trusting that you can take this energy with you for the remainder of your day or evening ahead.
When you feel ready,
Drawing the practice to a close.
