And beginning by settling into your most comfortable position.
Either sitting or lying down.
Perhaps taking any movements or stretches that you need.
And then settling into stillness.
And if you haven't already,
Lightly closing down your eyes or finding a soft,
Steady gaze at a
point ahead.
And beginning to draw your awareness inwards.
And perhaps for the first time today,
Taking this moment to really feel into your body.
Aware of the parts of your body that are in contact with the surfaces beneath you.
The density of your body as it's being held and supported.
And as you feel into your body,
You might start to become aware of the subtle energy of tension
and pressure within you.
Perhaps there's a feeling of tightness in your neck and your shoulders.
Clenching through your jaw.
Maybe your heart is racing or your stomach is in knots.
You might even be aware of a sense of restlessness and impatience.
Wanting to get to the other side of this period of challenge.
Simply taking this time to really feel into and become aware of the physical sensations
that are present within your body.
Without judgment or criticism.
Without needing to change anything at all.
Without needing to change anything at all.
And as you sit with these sensations,
You might start to become aware of the emotions behind them as well.
Perhaps there's a feeling of fear.
Overwhelm.
Uncertainty or anxiety.
Maybe a sense of sadness or disappointment.
Simply noticing and labeling what's here.
Without resisting these uncomfortable emotions or needing to change the way that you feel.
Noticing that it's perfectly normal and natural to feel this way.
All you have to do in this moment is give yourself permission to feel.
With a sense of gentleness and compassion.
Seeing if you can allow yourself to sit with these feelings and sensations.
Opening yourself up to the full experience of your fear and uncertainty.
And just noticing what's here with kindness and curiosity.
And as you lean into the discomfort of not knowing,
You'll become more aware of the thoughts that are going through your mind.
Perhaps your mind is busy scrambling from one thought to another.
Maybe you're feeling worried about all of the changes that are happening in your life right now.
You might be filled with a sense of self-doubt and discouragement for what's to come.
Simply being aware of the contents of your mind without judgment or criticism.
Knowing that each time you notice yourself worried,
Remembering that there's no right or wrong way for you to feel.
And you don't need to change anything about your experience.
All you have to do is allow yourself to sit with these feelings and sensations.
And you don't need to change anything about your experience.
All you have to do is give yourself permission to be with what's here in this moment.
Knowing that right now,
In this moment,
Everything is okay.
You are safe and sound.
With your breath as your companion,
Allow yourself to lean into the sense of discomfort of the unknown.
Feeling each breath soften all of the tight corners within you.
Perhaps aware of the certainty and the strength of each breath.
Making its way throughout your body.
As you experience your breath in this way,
Perhaps seeing if you can connect in with the gentle whisper of courage within you.
Saying to yourself in your mind,
It's okay.
It's okay.
I can do this.
I can do hard things.
I can be brave and afraid at the same time.
Perhaps offering yourself any other words of bravery and encouragement you need to hear right now.
Knowing that even in the midst of change and unpredictability,
You have the capacity to sit with this discomfort.
Not needing to do anything other than be here as you are right now in this moment.
Just allowing yourself to be.
Experiencing the breath flowing through you.
Aware of the voice of quiet courage within.
When you feel ready,
Slowly drawing your breath in a little bit deeper once again.
Finding small movements through your fingers,
Your toes.
Taking any movements or stretches that you need.
Allowing yourself to ease your way out of this practice slowly and mindfully.
Allowing yourself to ease your way out of this practice slowly and mindfully.
When you're ready,
Drawing the practice to a close.
