Using affirmations of gratitude may not be the first thing that comes to mind when we are in need of easing our stress. However, taking a few moments to stop and remind ourselves of what we are grateful for can help ground us, center us, and diffuse stressful situations. Shifting the perspective away from that which is upsetting to that which is uplifting. In this meditation, we will repeat several affirmations to guide you towards a calmer, less stressful state.

Welcome to this affirmations of gratitude meditation to ease stress.

It's not commonly thought of to use gratitude affirmations as a way of relieving stress.

But if we can take a step back during our days or during stressful situations to reflect on the things that we are grateful for,

They can have a very soothing effect on our bodies and our minds and diffuse and ease stressful moments.

Before we begin,

I invite you to find a nice comfortable position,

Whether that be seated or lying down,

Allowing your spine to relax,

Your hands to fall naturally in your lap.

And if you'd like to close your eyes,

You may do so or simply soften your gaze.

There's some research that shows that repeating something seven times helps it to be remembered to help us lock it in.

So I will be repeating the following affirmations seven times and I invite you to repeat them with me.

Before we begin,

Take a nice deep inhale through your nose,

A nice slow exhale through your mouth.
