Welcome to Meditations with Mau.

Today we are going to be focusing on our body,

Beginning with a body scan,

Checking in on how are we.

Whenever you're ready I invite you to find that comfortable position,

Maybe wiggling out your body,

Getting out any of those last little wiggles and some energy that's been stored.

Breathing here,

A nice big breath in as we settle down into our seat.

If you were laying down,

Feeling your arms and legs being supported by everything beneath you.

If you're sitting on a seat or a chair,

Feeling the chair holding you,

Knowing that you are safe,

Exactly where you are.

Beginning with our feet and our legs,

Working our way up our body,

Focusing on our toes,

Our feet,

Our ankles and calves,

Feeling if there's tightness or a specific temperature,

Going up our shins to our knees,

And continuing up our legs,

Past our thighs and up to our hips.

Our hips are where our root chakra lays.

This is where we have safety,

Stability,

Security,

Lets us know about our bodies.

As we work our way up our backs,

Straightening up your back,

Bringing your spine into alignment,

Bringing our shoulders up towards our ears and then dropping them down with the breath out.

Again,

Breathing in,

Letting our shoulders fall down our backs as we breathe out.

If you need to receive a little bit of energy today or if you'd like to be a little bit more grounded,

You can have your hands face up to receive,

Face down to ground,

Either in your lap,

Next to you,

On your legs,

Wherever is most comfortable.

I invite you to let your arms hang heavy,

Reminding your shoulders once again that they can relax.

Bring your neck and head ever so slightly back,

Aligning it with our bodies,

Shutting down our eyes if we haven't,

And letting all of the tension drip down our faces.

Any worry in our foreheads or eyebrows melting away.

Checking in with our stomachs,

Our solar plexus,

Chakra,

Our heart chakra,

Feeling your lungs expand with each breath in and fall with each breath out.

Taking a breath in here as we settle just a little bit further into this position.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Take a moment to scan your entire body.

Notice if there is any area that needs or is asking for just a little bit more love and care today.

Maybe a little bit more grace or maybe even inserting just a little bit more joy.

Scanning your heart,

Stomach,

Noticing what your body is trying to let you know.

We get to listen to these bodies that we walk around this world in.

We get to hear them,

We get to feel them,

We get to use them every day.

Take these next couple moments to just reflect on what your body has done for you.

Whether this is the beginning of your day or the end of it,

Invite you to repeat the mantra back to yourself,

I am grateful for this body.

I am thankful for what I get to use it for.

Tell yourself one more time,

I appreciate you.

Taking your arms and either holding them at your heart or wrapping them around you as if you're giving yourself a hug.

Feeling the warmth of your body against itself,

This exchange of energy.

This is your body.

You have the power to do whatever it is you want with it.

I wish you well either in your slumber or as you move about the world for the rest of the day and thank you as always for sharing this time with me but thank yourself for taking these couple minutes to do something for you.
