Hello ladies and gentlemen.
Please start by getting into a comfortable position of your choice.
Sitting,
Standing,
Laying,
Whatever feels comfortable for you.
We'll be starting today with a small 10 minute meditation primarily focusing on brief work.
Feel free to move through the practice.
Please listen to your body and what feels right to you.
Let's take the time to settle your space and your mind and lay any intentions you may have.
Let's begin.
This meditation will be close to home and primarily focus on grief and loss.
I recently lost a few loves and my heart is in the process of rebuilding itself.
This may be a little raw or emotional but I would like to offer a safe space for emotions to truly be accepted.
Take a moment now to align and gather into a comfortable position.
Take the moment now to centre your breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
In times of grief and stress our nervous system can be so dysregulated it becomes hard to breathe.
Be easy on yourself in these moments.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Take the time now to just feel whatever you need to feel.
A lot of thoughts may come into the body in times of grief that are not necessarily true,
Although we end up believing.
Take the time to accept them,
Listen without judgement but bring your main attention to your body.
Anytime your thoughts start to wander try and bring the awareness back into the body.
It may be easier to connect to your awareness after taking some deep breaths.
This clears the mind in an intentional way allowing extra space.
Saying goodbye to the things you love is extremely hard.
Your feelings may be de-missed of late,
Especially with friends,
Family and the outside world.
Take the moment to come into yourself.
Take the time and space to truly reflect upon all you need as this is now your time to come forward and ask for it.
You may need help from loved ones,
Strangers,
Friends or even yourself.
What do you need in this moment?
There will be times that are hard and tough.
Regrets may surface and you wonder why you are doing all of this.
But be firm in yourself.
Know that uncomfortable feelings will soon pass and true,
Deep,
Long lasting love will be waiting around the corner.
Whether it's love for yourself,
Love for another or love for the world in general.
Life may teach us that when one door closes another door opens.
Allow this to be the time and the moment that your doors open.
You may not be ready for this.
You may notice resistance in the body that's completely normal.
Your body and mind will take time to process this.
Life is not a 24 hour solution.
The grief and the emotions may still reside on you heavily,
But just know with each step and with each day,
Your emotions will become lighter and lighter.
You will be in a higher vibrational energy in no time.
Allow the grief cycle to pass.
Do not force anything.
Do not try and change anything.
Allow what comes.
Allow yourself to feel all the emotions,
The rage,
The anger,
The regrets,
The resentment,
The sadness.
With each breath or with each tear,
Release.
Allow yourself to feel all the emotions,
The rage,
The anger,
The sadness.
With each breath or with each tear,
Release.
Now,
Allow yourself to feel all the emotions,
The joy,
The love,
The contentment and the happiness.
With each breath or with each tear,
Release.
Allow yourself to feel all the emotions,
The rage,
The anger,
The sadness.
With each breath or with each tear,
Release.
Thank you for taking the time to centre yourself and sit with and release any heavy emotions.
This was not an easy meditation.
Bringing grief or any emotion to the surface may shock us into releasing what we have neglected.
Try and be compassionate with yourself in these times,
As compassion is key and you deserve love in these times,
Even if you are the only one providing it to yourself.
Do not be afraid to reach out and ask for help.
Tell your loved ones how you're feeling,
How you're coping.
And if needed,
Please speak to a specialised grief counsellor.
Take the time now to recenter yourself.
Come into alignment with the present surroundings.
You may want to invite some movement into your toes and fingers.
Being conscious of your breath.
You may start battering your eyelids open.
Either way,
Take your time and just know that when you are ready to step back into the world,
You will be loved and supported.
Thank you for your time.
