Transcript

Welcome to this quick centering meditation.

Take first one deep breath in through the nose,

Sighing out through the mouth.

Allowing this breath to center and anchor you into this moment and this presence.

Now,

With a little more intentionality,

Take five more of the same breath,

This time envisioning presence and stillness on the inhale and releasing of stagnation on the exhale.

As you breathe,

Notice your body being supported by the chair,

The bed,

Or the surface you reside on.

As you breathe,

Your body becomes heavier and stronger.

Continuing with any sort of breath that feels best for you and your body,

Allowing your shoulders to soften,

Your face to soften,

And anywhere else that naturally holds tension to relax and release.

As you breathe,

Channel that energy all the way down into your abdomen,

Breathing in the life force of the universe and the world around you.

As you exhale,

Allow all of the energy to move out of your body,

Taking with it anything that is no longer helpful for you.

Breathe all the way down into your toes and your fingertips,

Injecting yourself with life with every inhale and releasing yourself of stagnation with every exhale.

If you're in public,

You can do these movements quietly and subtly,

But begin to shake your hands as if you're shaking off droplets of water,

Shaking off the remnants of the energy that you've been expelling,

Bringing in bigger and bigger motions,

Shaking the arms,

Releasing and letting go,

Allowing the body to shake away anything that isn't for it,

And simultaneously energizing the spirit,

Activating the heart and the respiratory system.

And if you'd like to,

Bring that shaking movement into bigger and bigger movements,

Incorporating the head or the legs or the entire body,

Shaking yourself back into a place of centeredness,

Shaking until you feel ready to come back into your stillness again.

Notice your heartbeat,

Notice your energy circulating in your body,

And then just as we began,

Taking five intentional breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Revisit this meditation anytime you need to move a little energy or inject a little life force into yourself.

Thank you for being here,

And have a beautiful day.

Starts with deep breaths then moves to shaking the whole body. Nothing this so I remember not to do it while in the car 😂 Lovely reset anyway.

I especially loved shaking off the old energy, yet I enjoyed it all. Thank you.

So despite knowing full well to expect a banger, I was skeptical how much could happen in 5 minutes. Someone tell me why that was better than a 60 min yoga nidra for rest.
