This is a gratitude practice where we are invited to bring appreciation and gratitude first to the people we have in our lives, the friends and family, and those that have crossed our paths. Then expanding to bring gratitude to the things in our lives that give us support and well-being that we might sometimes take for granted. Finally bringing gratitude to ourselves, recognizing and appreciating the qualities that have helped us through our lives.

So as I was saying,

You may already have a gratitude pack and there's a number of ways we can cultivate appreciation and gratitude for ourselves and others.

So this is an offering to explore and just sitting for a moment and connecting once again with your heart area,

Place in the center of the chest where you feel your heart and perhaps placing a hand on your heart to remind yourself that you too are worthy of appreciation and gratitude.

And perhaps beginning by bringing to mind people in your life who've enabled you to come on this course,

Who have helped you and supported you financially or with time,

Giving you encouragement,

Feeling a sense of gratitude for these people who have helped you be here,

Be here today and for the past 10 weeks,

Giving you the opportunity to explore and develop.

Thank you.

I appreciate your support.

Thank you.

I'm turning to other people in your life,

Other people in your life that you interact with,

Family,

Partners,

Parents,

Children,

Friends,

Colleagues,

People you spend time with,

That you share experiences with.

I'm bringing to mind one or some of these people,

Bringing to mind their best qualities,

Things that you really appreciate about them,

Perhaps the support of a good friend,

Kindness they've shown you or maybe the love and tenderness of your partner.

And as you bring a person to mind,

Knowing your heartfelt wish for their happiness,

Sending them some gratitude and appreciation.

Thank you for being in my life.

I appreciate that I've met you,

That I've shared my journey with you,

Perhaps we've met and drawn apart over the years.

Still,

I remember you and I thank you for your kindness.

So allowing your mind to open people you have known,

Have interacted in the past,

Allowing them to visit and offering them your thanks,

Your good wishes,

The kind word,

Supportive hands,

The shoulder to cry on.

Thank you my friends.

Letting go of people and opening your awareness to things that you appreciate in your life,

That you're grateful for,

However small or insignificant they might be.

Casting your mind over the things that give you enjoyment that you are grateful for or satisfaction,

Enjoyment of a warm shower in the morning,

Appreciation of having that ability,

Of having modern life with all its ease,

Electricity and power.

Grateful for food that we can buy or deliver to our door,

No longer have to hunt or work in the fields.

Thank you.

I appreciate it.

So casting your mind and becoming aware of the small things in your life that you feel grateful for,

The cup of tea in the morning,

The smile on a stranger's face,

Sun rising in its brilliant colors of yellow and orange.

Thank you.

And turning to yourself,

Giving yourself some gratitude and appreciation,

Acknowledging the courage,

Compassion and care that you have shown yourself in coming on this course.

Appreciation for the qualities within you that have brought you here.

Thank you.

I appreciate time of allowing myself to come on this journey with all its ups and downs.

I appreciate.

Thank you.

Thank you Maya.

Staying strong,

Strong and compassionate.

Now releasing all effort and just sitting absorbing the practice,

Allowing yourself to feel what you're feeling.

It's all okay.

Whatever it is,

It's okay.

Allowing yourself to be just as you are,

Even if it's just for this moment,

This one moment,

Allowing yourself to be.
