Welcome.

I invite you to find a comfortable space where you can relax,

Sink into your seat or sink into this space in which you are lying down and allow the eyes to rest and I invite you to attune to begin to pay attention to your breath noticing the expansion of the chest on the inhale and the gentle surrender on the exhale and allowing the natural rhythm of your breath not altering in any way or changing simply allowing.

Arrive here fully beginning to connect to mind and body,

Self.

We move so quickly through the day,

The week,

Life often in judgment of this physical body that carries us through.

At times we are critical for all that we want it to be,

Possibly all what we think it's not and yet this protective and powerful space that we take up,

That we live within allows us to enjoy this precious and beautiful journey of life and so sinking into the space that you're in,

Notice your physical form,

Your physical body and I encourage you,

I invite you as we move through this meditation,

This body scan to approach this practice from a space of gratitude,

From a space of humble appreciation for all that you are,

For all that is,

For all that makes you up,

That is healthy and whole and well.

Focusing the attention back into your chest,

Into your heart space.

I invite you to place the palm of your hand in your heart center and just gently feel the warmth,

The comfort,

Allowing this connection to self to generate a sense of safety,

Peace,

Gratitude.

Pressing even slightly harder to feel the beat of your heart,

Honoring the magnificence that is you and what surfaces for you in that,

Allowing it,

Gently acknowledging the thoughts,

The feelings that this practice,

This process may evoke and allowing them to float through.

There is no right and there is no wrong.

As humans we're given this incredible capacity to feel all of the emotions,

These vibrations in our body that simply move through us.

They don't make us,

Us,

Unless we allow them.

And so instead of resisting,

Instead of criticizing or judging whatever may surface,

Simply acknowledge it.

Like you would something outside of yourself.

We notice nature.

We notice how the birds float around,

Fly around in their most precious way.

We notice how the ocean moves and the tide comes in and out.

We observe the trees,

Flowers,

In their process,

In their cycle,

In their movement,

In their shifts,

And often without judgment.

We simply observe,

You know,

Rush their process or criticize.

And so I invite you to take the same approach to self.

Allow it,

Notice it,

Observe it,

As if there is no right or wrong way.

Simply acknowledging what is,

Releasing your hand down,

Gently scanning through the body,

Beginning with the feet,

The toes,

Coming in and up down through the legs,

The calves,

Knees.

Acknowledging all that is working,

All that is whole and well,

All that supports you through this precious journey.

Moving into serenity,

This calm,

Deep stillness.

Coming into the hips,

The pelvic area.

Choosing to relax,

Recognize,

And with gratitude,

Breathing into these spaces.

Thanking your body.

Thank you for protecting me.

Thank you body for allowing us to move through this beautiful journey,

This experience of life.

Coming into the belly,

All that it does,

All that our digestive system does,

All of these precious organs that are within us,

These cells and structures and all the elements that make the miracle that is you.

And what is working?

Thank you.

Coming into the lungs,

Acknowledging again the breath,

This fierce and yet fragile source.

Precious and powerful as it continues to fill us with our life source,

This little attention from us.

Thank you.

Coming up into the shoulder space,

Gently pressing the shoulders down and away from the ears,

Allowing the body to relax.

A sense of comfort,

A sense of stillness.

Gently releasing any tension that you may be feeling in these spaces and breathing into them a calm sense of peace,

Gratitude,

Healing.

Coming into the shoulders,

Down to the arms,

Out through the hands,

Bringing to mind all of the activities that this precious and fragile and yet powerful and fierce vessel that is us allows us.

Coming up into the neck,

Releasing any stuckness,

Breathing into that area,

Finding freedom and joy and empowerment in this ability for us to embrace all that is,

All that makes up you in this physical body.

Coming into the jaw,

If it's feeling clenched,

Relaxing it.

The eyes,

The forehead,

Choosing peace,

Choosing connection,

Choosing love and appreciation for the miracle that is you.

Scanning back down,

Noticing anywhere that may need a little extra love,

Attention or care.

Breathing in and on the exhale,

Releasing any tightness,

Any suffering.

Visualizing in your mind's eye,

Your body,

Yourself.

Experiencing life,

Whole,

Healthy,

Complete.

As we come to a close on this practice,

I invite you to bring your palms together into your heart center,

Bowing your head,

Bringing the mind,

The logic,

The brain,

The thoughts,

Almost allowing them to sink down into the heart space.

Connecting with the hands in prayer and giving yourself a blessing,

A wish and bringing this gratitude,

Bringing this appreciation,

This humble sense of awe for all this magnificence that we are,

That you are.

I wish for you to experience excellent health and wellness.

I wish for you to be filled with love and joy and I wish for peace to be with you always.

Thank you.
