Visualisation is powerful, it trains our nervous systems and is its own form of reality. Within your body is a centre space, unbreakable and untouchable from where you stand tall, strong, and steady in your body. This Yoga Nidra supports you in strengthening your connection to this space. There is great potential for healing on a deep level with this as a regular practice.

Welcome to this yoga nidra for deep rest.

Settle your body.

Position your body for deep rest.

Find a resting position of utmost comfort and ease.

And for the next two minutes,

Settle and resettle your body.

Use the breath to support you.

Slow your exhale down and or make the sound of a sigh on the exhale or any sound that creates a vibration through the jaw and the face.

Use a few exhales to give the weight of your body over to the support below you.

Transfer your weight down into the support below your body.

Make adjustments to shift your body until you reach a state of zero desire to move.

This yoga nidra is about self-love.

It's about connecting to the center space inside that is unbreakable untouchable and supports you in standing tall strong and steady in your body.

This practice also uses a visualization to empower your action taking steps towards deeper and more authentic self-love.

This yoga nidra has begun.

With your imagination,

Connect to the support of the earth below you.

Drop attention down through the layers of support beneath your body.

With each exhale,

Drop down a layer,

Layer by layer,

Breath by breath,

Until you reach the support of the surface of the earth herself.

Feel and sense that you are fully supported by the whole planet earth below you right now.

Direct your breath into the heart space.

Breathe in and out from the heart as though the heart herself could breathe.

Inhale to expand your heart and exhale to soften your heart and drop attention deeper in towards the center of the heart again and again breath by breath.

With your attention deeply held within the space of your heart,

Quietly listen.

Give your full listening presence over to the inner heart space.

Simply receive wisdom from the heart space.

Create or connect with your sankalpa,

A statement of intention.

Sankalpa honors your heart's deepest wish.

Say this statement as though this deepest heart's wish has come fully true already in the present,

The only time we have.

It can be as simple as three words beginning with I am or I feel or I welcome.

Say your sankalpa three times in your mother tongue with the voice of the heart.

Exhale to allow the words to settle into the body.

Tiny seeds full of potential settling into the fertile soil of that which is the practice of yoga nidra.

Feel the whole shape of your body.

Feel your whole body still.

Still,

Quiet and resting.

We will now take the light of conscious awareness around the body.

As your awareness travels throughout the landscape of the body,

Feel the movement of the mind's energy as a flow.

Each time you land on a point in the body,

Place healing light there.

The color of this light can be whatever color will bring you the greatest sense of healing potential.

Bring healing light to the tip of the tongue.

Feel the whole tongue illuminated with healing light.

Bring light to the right inner cheek and the left cheek.

Bring light to heal the roof of the mouth and the floor of the mouth.

Travel your conscious awareness to the inside of the nose.

Illuminate the two inner channels of the nose and the tip of the nose.

Place light upon the right cheek,

Right temple,

Over the right eye,

And the left eye.

The eyelids touching.

The right eyeball illuminated.

The right eyebrow.

The whole right eye.

Radiating healing light.

Place light upon the left cheek,

The left temple,

Over the left eye.

The eyelids touching.

The whole left eyeball illuminated.

The left eyebrow and the whole left eye radiating healing light.

Illuminate the whole forehead with healing light.

Bring healing light to the right outer ear and inner ear.

Bring healing light into the deepest inner ear,

Where sound waves become information for the brain.

And bring healing light into the center of the brain,

Radiating into the whole brain.

Bring healing light to the left outer ear and inner ear,

And bring the same healing light into the deepest inner ear on the left side,

Where sound waves become information for the brain.

Bring healing light onto the top of the head.

See and feel your whole head radiating healing light.

Bring light into the throat center.

Illuminate both shoulders,

Arms,

Both wrists,

Both palms of the hands,

Backs of the hands,

The hearts of the hands,

Fingers,

Tips of fingers.

Light radiating in and around both hands,

Arms,

And shoulders.

Bring healing light into the heart center.

See and feel it radiating in all directions out from the heart.

Illuminate the right lung with healing light,

And the left lung shining brightly.

Lungs and heart radiant with healing light.

Bring healing light into the heart of the belly,

Whole belly bathed in healing light.

Bring healing light to shine in the heart of the pelvis,

And the heart of the pelvis.

Fill the pelvic bowl with healing light radiating out in all directions.

Inner light illuminating the whole torso from the inside outwards.

Bring healing light to both hips and both legs,

The ankles,

Heels,

Soles of the feet illuminated,

Tops of the feet,

Toes,

Tips of toes,

Feet,

Legs,

And hips radiating healing light from within.

See and feel the whole right side of the body illuminated with healing light.

See and feel the whole left side of the body illuminated with healing light.

The whole front side of the body shining brightly with healing light.

The whole back side of the body shining brightly with healing light.

The whole body illuminated.

The whole body radiating light from within.

The whole body filled with the light of conscious awareness,

Fully supported by the earth.

Take awareness to your body breathing you.

Simply notice and observe your breathing.

One minute.

Feel the whole right side of the body.

Feel how each exhalation invites the right side of the body to melt down to the right.

Feel the whole left side of the body.

Feel how each exhalation invites the left side of the body to melt down to the left.

Feel the whole front side of the body.

Feel how each inhale invites the front side of the body to lift freely into the space above and around the body.

And feel the whole back side of the body.

Feel how each inhale invites the back side of the body to melt and spread into the support below.

Bring your attention deeply into your center.

The space where the right and left,

Front and back come together.

Feel the movement of your breath within the center space.

Notice the way the breath moves through your center.

Notice the shape of the breath,

The shape of the inhale and the shape of the exhale.

Hear the sound of your breath within your center.

Feel the movement of the body as breath moves in and out from your center.

Begin to count your breaths back from 9 to 0.

Begin with exhale 9,

Inhale 9 until you reach 0.

If you reach 0,

Begin back at 9.

If thoughts arise or you lose count,

Begin back at 9.

Gently let this go.

Awaken your mind and connect with an emotion that holds you back from love.

This emotion may block you from giving or receiving love or both.

Name this emotion with your mind.

Feel where the emotion manifests in your body.

Feel its source.

Feel fully and remember that the whole planet earth is below your body supporting you.

Now,

Feel love.

Where do you feel love in your body?

Where does love manifest and what does that feel like?

Feel fully.

You are safe and held by the whole earth.

Connect these two emotions.

The emotion that blocks you from feeling love and love.

Feel both simultaneously and let the thinking mind rest through this experience.

Feel how these two emotions are connected within your body.

Stay with this experience.

Gently let this go.

Awaken your imagination.

Recall an area of your life where you are struggling to be your true self.

An area of your life where you're not entirely honest.

Either inwards or outwards.

With your imagination,

Let love in fully.

Be yourself and see that area of your life playing out on the screen of your imagination.

Infused with love.

If you feel stuck at any point,

Come back to your center as a resource and support.

See,

Feel,

And hear yourself living from love.

Your most true form of authenticity and self.

Gently let this go.

Become aware that you are aware.

Simply be here now.

Rest in awareness.

Body deeply resting.

Awareness awake and alert.

Rest and be.

Simply be.

Come back to your body.

Become aware of your body breathing by gently deepening your breath.

Feel the whole body still asleep.

Still deeply resting.

Feel the support below the body.

Use the breath to very slowly breathe your way to a more wakeful state.

Body moving only with the breath.

Feel free to add sound to the exhale.

Like the sound of a sigh to support you in your waking process.

Deepen the breath and take the next breath into the heart.

Expand the heart with inhalation.

And soften your heart with exhalation.

Each breath in and out of the heart.

Just as though the heart herself were breathing.

And with attention in your heart space,

Recall your Sankalpa.

Listen as you say your Sankalpa again with the voice of the heart three times slowly.

With your next exhalation,

Release these words.

This Yoga Nidra is now complete.

Allow your body to guide you in some tiny movement toward awakening.

Be slow and deliberate in your process.

Pause along the way.
