This Yoga Nidra invites you to rest your body on the body of the Earth. A deep rest and a homecoming. Through rest and when connecting to the unconditional support of the Earth below, we remember. During this Yoga Nidra a short poem created by a group of Yoga Students in Copenhagen, each contributing a piece of the poem to make it whole. Gratitude for ‘fælleskabet’ (community). The track contains both a Sansula and Koshi bells for some sound healing. I hope this Yoga Nidra brings you right back home-to yourself. Thank you for practicing.

Welcome to this Yoga Nidra for Remembrance.

For this practice,

There isn't anything to do.

Simply being and resting is more than enough.

Let your body settle,

Just like water finds her level on the earth and becomes still.

Let your body slowly find its level on the support that you've chosen below you.

You can rest on the back or on the side,

Whatever is most comfortable for you.

You can even rest in a chair,

If that's what's available to you.

This practice is about remembering.

It's about that sense of memory that's held in the body,

Just as the earth remembers.

This earth of your body remembers.

It's a homecoming,

This practice.

So settle into the practice of homecoming.

So use your breath to support you in settling.

The breath settling your body.

Each exhale,

Melting and spreading the body,

Just like a puddle of water spreads out on the earth.

As you exhale,

Let your body spread like a puddle,

Releasing and letting go,

Down into resting.

Slowly,

Slowly arriving in rest,

Taking your time and letting time just disappear.

Letting time just melt away as you come to rest and shifting between doing and into being.

Just being here and resting is more than enough.

Settling and settling.

That's all that's to be done.

And then bring your attention into feeling the heart space,

Feeling the center of the chest behind the middle of the breastbone and just feeling the heart and welcoming all that's present,

Simply feeling the heart and sensing how that heart supports you in your practice of rest.

This practice has now begun.

This practice of remembrance has now begun.

We'll do a rotation of consciousness,

A flow through the land of the body,

A flow from point to point,

From point to point and all the spaces in between,

The space between also visited and welcomed.

Begin with the eyebrow center,

That space between the eyebrows and as you rest awareness there,

Feeling the forehead smoothing out,

Feeling the forehead releasing and melting and feeling both eyebrows softening.

And flow awareness down through the throat into the base of the throat,

That space between the collarbones,

The little hollow,

Resting there,

Allowing awareness to rest there.

And flowing awareness down and out through the shoulders and over the shoulders,

Down through the elbows and the wrists and out to each of the fingers,

Out to the tips,

To the tip of the thumb and the tip of the index finger and the middle finger and the ring finger and the tip of the little finger,

All fingertips together.

And flow awareness back up the arm,

Through the wrist and the elbow and up through the shoulder and into the hollow between the collarbones and down to the center of the chest behind the middle of the breastbone,

Resting in the space of the heart,

Resting in the space of the heart and this rest having a quality of flow.

And over into the left lung,

Feeling,

Welcoming all sensation in the left lung and back to the center of the heart space and over into the right lung and back to the heart space and flowing down,

Down into the belly,

Into the very heart center of the belly,

Resting in the belly's heart center,

And feeling rest and flow here and flowing down into the pelvic bowl,

Right into the heart of the pelvis,

If the pelvis at heart center,

Resting there,

Heart center,

Resting there and flow out to the right hip and down through the knee and the ankle and to the tips of the toes,

Beginning with the big toe and second toe,

Third toe and fourth toe and the fifth little toe and all the toes on the right foot together.

All the toes on the right foot together and flow back up the right leg,

Through the ankle and the knee and the right hip and coming back to the heart center of the pelvis and flowing out to the left hip,

Down through the leg,

Through the knee and the ankle and out to the tip of the big toe and the second toe and the third toe and the fourth toe and the fifth little toe and all the left toes together and the toes on the left foot together and flow back up through the left ankle and the knee and the left hip and back to the heart center of the pelvis and up to the heart of the belly,

Flowing through the land of this body,

Back up to the space of the heart and to the base of the throat,

That little hollow between the collarbones,

Resting there and flowing and up to the eyebrow center,

Back up to the start and then right back down to the base of the throat and down into the space of the heart and resting here in the space of the heart and then feel the whole body resting and feel the whole land of the body at rest and then come back to the space of the heart simply resting in the space of the heart and feel the heart touched by breath this gentle touch of breath in and around the heart each breath touching the heart with the gentle rhythm of the breath each breath like a wave coming in and going out and awaken your imagination,
