This meditation will guide you to shedding the old you, and becoming who you were meant to be; your true self. It's also known to calm you down and increase serotonin so it's perfect for anyone with stress, anxiety, and/or depression. Chant Saa, Taa, Naa, Maa. With each sound, alternate through four mudras: On Saa, touch the first (Jupiter) finger; Gyan Mudra (knowledge) On Taa, touch the second (Saturn) finger; Shuni Mudra (wisdom, intelligence, patience); On Naa, touch the third (Sun) finger; Surya Mudra (vitality, energy of life); On Maa, touch the fourth (Mercury) finger; Buddhi Mudra (ability to communicate) Research has shown that 12 minutes of Kirtan Kriya a day can improve cognition and memory function, and help to prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. This mantra meditation is for the Crown Chakra,

The 7th Chakra.

This meditation will bring mental balance.

Through the practice,

The mind will awaken to the infinite,

The capacity of the soul for sacrifice,

Service,

And creation.

It is said that when one practices this for a minimum of 12 minutes a day,

You can improve the memory function and help to prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease.

The posture is to sit in an upright,

Easy pose with a straight spine and a light neck lock.

Wrists are on the knees,

Arms and elbows are straight.

Start with the hands in Gya Mudra,

That's the thumb and the pointer fingers touching.

The mantra is Sat-Ta-Na-Ma.

On the Sa,

Touch the first finger,

Which is the Jupiter finger.

This is the finger of knowledge.

On the Ta,

Touch the thumb to the second finger,

Saturn finger.

This is the wisdom,

Intelligence,

And patience.

On the Na,

Touch the third finger with the thumb,

That's the Sun finger.

This is vitality,

Energy of life.

On the Ma,

Touch the fourth finger,

The pinky finger,

Known as the Mercury finger.

This is where we develop the ability to communicate.

So again,

We're tapping the thumb to the first finger on the Sa,

And the thumb to the second finger on the Ta,

And then the thumb to the third finger,

The ring finger to the Na,

And then the thumb to the pinky finger for the Ma.

This mantra,

When practiced in a cycle,

It is first chanted out loud,

As you'll hear in the mantra I have recorded for you,

And then it goes down into a whisper.

And then finally,

It's repeated silently,

And you'll hear the music with no chanting.

Continue to repeat it to yourself silently,

And then it will come back in a soft whisper,

And then in a chant.

The eyes are closed,

Focusing on the third eye,

The seat of intuition.

Take a deep inhale,

Exhale out of the mouth.

Take another deep inhale,

And gently exhale.

One more time,

Deep inhale,

Check that your spine is straight,

The neck is straight with the slight tip of the chin into the neck,

It's what we call the neck lock.

Relax,

Check that the hands and fingers are in Gyan Mudra,

And just have the experience,

And here comes the mantra.
