Welcome to Closing the Day with Peace,

A time to gently transition from the activity of the day into a space of calm and peace before bedtime.

I'm Marianne DeCleer and thank you for joining me here at the end of your day.

This is your moment to unwind,

To release,

To settle into peace and to welcome rest.

Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

And allow your body to be fully supported by the surface beneath and behind you.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Exhale slowly through your mouth,

Letting go of tension.

Continue to breathe this way for a few breaths.

With each exhale,

Let go of the day,

Releasing tension,

Thoughts,

And expectations.

If your eyes are not already closed,

You can close them and bring your awareness inward.

Feel the weight of your body gently settling.

Allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment,

Leaving behind the busyness of the day.

And now I invite you to begin to notice your breath.

There's nothing you need to change,

Just observe the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.

Feel the cool air entering your nostrils,

Filling your lungs,

And the warm air around your nostrils as you exhale.

Let go of any lingering tension.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to soften,

To melt just a little more.

Your jaws relax,

And allow your hands to rest comfortably.

Now take a long,

Deep breath in through your nose,

And as you exhale slowly through your mouth,

Imagine any words,

Or stress falling away.

Let's do that again.

Inhale deeply through the nose,

And exhale through the mouth as if you were blowing through a straw,

Releasing anything that is weighing you down.

Inhale peace.

Exhale any worries or stress.

Inhale peace.

Exhale anything that is weighing you down.

I now invite you to bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Imagine a gentle wave of relaxation washing over you.

Soothes and softens every part of your body.

And as you exhale,

Feel this relaxation move down to your forehead,

Smoothing away any tension,

Softening your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw.

It flows down into your neck and shoulders,

Dissolving and releasing any tightness.

It flows down through your arms,

Your hands,

All the way down to your fingertips.

Feel the warmth of relaxation moving through your chest,

Your heart space,

Your solar plexus,

Down through your belly,

Allowing everything to release and let go.

Feel it move down through your pelvis,

Your hips,

Your legs,

And your feet,

Right down to the tips of your toes.

And then notice that your entire body is bathed in a sense of deep peace and ease.

As you rest here,

Take a moment to reflect on your day with kindness,

Non-judgment,

No analysis,

Just gentle observation and awareness.

What are you grateful for today?

What moments brought you joy,

No matter how small?

Allow anything you are grateful for to spread the feeling of positivity through your body.

And if any lingering thoughts or worries come up,

Imagine exhaling them.

You don't need to carry them into the night.

Continue on with your normal breathing.

But as you exhale,

Imagine releasing the day's energy.

This is your moment,

A time to simply be,

To surrender to the peace of the night.

Breathe in calm.

Breathe out anything that no longer serves you.

Feel yourself completely relaxed,

Completely at peace.

You are safe.

You are whole.

And you are enough exactly as you are.

Before we end this relaxation,

Take a moment to shine some appreciation and gratitude on yourself.

Acknowledge your strength,

Your resilience,

Your presence.

You have done enough today.

You have been enough today.

And now it is time to rest.

And I invite you to take one last deep nourishing breath of peace in through your nose and exhale peace through your mouth to spread it to every part of your body.

Carry the sense of peace with you as you move into the night,

Knowing that you are held in the rhythm of your breath,

In the safety of this moment.

And remember that you can come back to this recording anytime you want to close the day with peace.

Thank you for taking this time for yourself today.

I wish you a peaceful night of deep sleep.
