Today's meditation will be done in the laying down position.
Please find yourself comfortably on your back,
With your head supported by a pillow.
Let your arms rest at your sides for now and bring focus to the tip of your nose as you breathe in slowly and deeply.
When you exhale,
Open your mouth and go ahhhh.
Breathing in through your nose,
Exhaling ahhhh.
Allow for your eyelids to close,
Feeling heavy and ready to rest.
Notice how your body is pressed against the surface below.
Your entire back is supported.
Your hips and legs are at rest.
The neck muscles are able to let go,
No need to support your head right now.
Feel your body soften with every moment that passes by,
Melting into the mattress.
As you lay on your back,
Your nose is pointing towards the ceiling.
Your eyes are happily closed.
See if you can imagine yourself from an outside perspective,
Looking at yourself laying down,
How peaceful you are right now.
Bring your hands to your belly.
Notice the warmth of your palms against your stomach.
You can even observe yourself from that outside perspective,
Moving the hands to the belly.
There is a soothing warmth between you and your hands.
Then slowly,
And notice how your belly moves your hands up with the air.
When you breathe out every time you relax more.
Easily meditating while laying down.
What a sacred moment this is for you.
You deserve this rejuvenation you are receiving right now.
Now let's bring our focus to the legs.
Can you notice which leg is more comfortable than the other?
I don't know if it's your right leg or your left leg.
And I don't know if both of them are equally as relaxed.
But you do.
Just notice.
What do you feel in your legs?
They have taken you so many places in your life which you are grateful for.
And right now is their moment of rest.
Feel your legs heavily resting down into the surface below.
Hands of peace and serenity are enveloping you.
Your hands are still moving in unison with your breath.
Your breathing is slow and rhythmic.
Every cell in your body is using this moment to rejuvenate.
All the while,
You are just laying down.
No effort from you is even needed.
All systems in your body are working perfectly.
Your body is becoming harmonious with your mind.
All is well.
Notice the back of your head now,
Resting on that pillow.
How heavy is your head right now?
I bet even if you tried,
You couldn't lift your head because it's just so relaxed.
You wouldn't even want to.
Heavy is good for relaxation.
And relaxation is good for you.
Taking the time out every single day,
Even if it's only for 3-5 minutes,
To consciously relax will better your life in all ways.
Every aspect of your being responds positively to relaxation.
We all know how to relax.
All it takes is for you to lay down,
Close your eyes,
And slow down your breathing.
Notice how you feel right now.
Blessed.
Now with this beautiful state of relaxation that you have created,
Begin to imagine a perfect life for you and the world around you.
All is well.
You see abundance everywhere,
For everyone.
Wonderful.
Allow a big smile to come across your face now.
Open your eyes and stretch your body,
Feeling renewed.
