The Libra Zodiac sign,
Represented by the scales,
Signifies balance,
Harmony,
Fairness and aesthetic appreciation.
As the cardinal heir sign,
Libra seeks to build bridges,
Forming bonds and creating harmony in relationships.
It embodies the principles of justice and the appreciation of beauty in all its forms.
In this active imagination exercise,
We aim to connect with the diplomatic and harmonising energy of Libra,
Allowing you to embrace its essence and harness its strengths.
Let's just find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down,
Where you won't be disturbed.
Close your eyes,
And take a couple of deep breaths,
Just allowing your mind and body to relax naturally.
Keep your attention on the breath for now.
If at any point you get distracted,
Simply bring the attention back to the exercise.
And now,
Imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a serene and beautiful courtyard,
A place where you imagine the essence of Libra to reside.
Notice the symmetry and the harmonious design,
And let the scene unfold naturally.
Begin walking to the centre of the courtyard.
As you approach the centre,
You notice a set of scales,
Embodying Libra's core essence.
Take a moment to examine the scales more closely,
Noticing their size,
Colour and design.
On one side of the scales,
Imagine elements representing your personal desires,
Ambitions and feelings.
On the other side,
Place symbols of the desires and feelings of those around you.
Now notice whether the scales are in balance.
If not,
Identify what appears to be overweighing on one side.
Are your personal needs overshadowing the needs of others,
Or vice versa?
As you consider the balance,
Think about what adjustments could be made to restore it.
What actions or changes in perspective could lead to a more harmonious existence?
And now,
As you reflect on this balance,
You're going to ask yourself a series of questions.
And as you do,
Simply state the question in your mind,
And see what comes up.
How do my actions align with my highest values?
What steps can I take to foster balance in my interactions and relationships?
How can I honour both my needs and the needs of others in my decisions?
In what ways can I incorporate fairness and aesthetic appreciation in my daily routine?
Having asked yourself these questions,
Now make any mental adjustments to the scales based on your reflections.
Do you need to move some objects around,
Or add or remove certain objects?
Notice now how the scales respond.
And now take a look at the space around you,
And see if it changes in line with any adjustments you've made.
As we draw this exercise to a close now,
Express gratitude for the experience and any insights gained.
And this is recommended to journal after the exercise,
Recording any insights or feelings,
And know that these insights may continue to arise with further reflection over time.
So just bringing your attention back to the room now,
Noticing any sounds or sensations,
Taking a deep breath,
And opening your eyes again in your own time.
