Find something you feel sad about.

I'll give you a little moment to settle into something you feel sad about.

I'll give you a little moment to settle into something you feel sad about.

Now relax a little bit the body.

So relax the shoulders,

The face,

The abdomen,

The chest.

The arms and legs enter a deep state of relaxation.

Now we feel the experience of sadness,

The feeling of sadness.

We are sad about that life situation.

We have it in mind what we are sad about.

But we feel it.

How does the sadness feel in the body?

Where in the body?

How does it vibrate?

Now in that sadness what do we long for?

What do we actually long for?

It doesn't have to be very deep,

Just the real thing.

We are sad because.

.

.

And if it does take you level by level deeper,

Let it take you.

Look at the longing.

And then underneath that,

Or let's say together with that,

What is the hope that we have to fulfill that longing?

I long for ease and how much do I hope that it will be fulfilled?

Now feel the longing and the hope together.

The longing and the hope,

When they mix what does it feel like?

And again now the longing and the despair.

So now feel the lack of hope regarding the fulfilling of that longing.

What does that feel like?

Now feel the sadness as a composition of these two ingredients.

The longing and despair come together.

And now we feel to what degree are we taking responsibility for our longing?

I can even put a number from 0 to 100,

What percentage are we taking responsibility for?

Now I invite you to contemplate.

When you feel sad,

What's the mechanism that you are using?

What do you normally do?

Do you run away from the sadness?

Do you indulge in the thoughts of despair,

Speculative despair?

Do you go to painkillers?

Do you get hopeful?

Do you go to therapy?

Do you speak to friends?

What do you do to cope with sadness?

And then if you would take 100% responsibility for the longing.

So I long for this and I own this,

100% I own this.

What would that look like?

Come in deep contact now with the longing.

Feel it 100%.

Feel it fully.

Let the longing be immense,

Real,

Authentic in all its intensity.

What is happening when we fully own it?

And in that intensity see what's the source of that longing.

Is there something even deeper underneath that you really long for?

There is a deeper need,

A soul need,

Something deeper can go layer by layer,

One layer,

Two,

Three,

As many as we find diving into a very core longing.

What is the source of that longing?

What is the source of that longing?

What is the source of that longing?

Feel the empowering.

What does longing do in your being?

Does it give you strength?

What is the source of that longing?

That strength,

Does it give you hope?

And we'll take a few more moments of awareness,

Of feeling.

We express our gratitude for this gift of longing and the gift of the contact,

The awareness with our longing and the responsibility for it.

But I invite you to open your eyes and write down,

So we'll take a few moments,

We'll pause and you guys just write down.

What did you long for?

What did it feel like?

The despair,

The hope,

Just for yourself,

Take a few minutes and write,

It's different when we are aware of it also.

Open your eyes.
