Welcome back to this space.

This meditation is going to be all about embracing your desires and celebrating your wins.

Too often,

As children,

We're taught not to be in the way,

To keep quiet our opinion,

To go with what's most convenient for everyone else.

The less needs that we had,

The more valuable we were,

The easier it would be to love us.

And so automatically,

We began to create these codependency patterns,

People pleasing,

Abandoning self,

Priding ourselves on being low maintenance in relationships,

Harboring resentment and growing loneliness.

And while we can acknowledge some of these patterns from our childhood,

We know that we're adults now.

And isn't it great to know that we have free will,

We have choice now to step into something new,

A new pattern,

A new belief system,

Knowing conceptually that these patterns don't work,

But maybe having no idea where to start.

Today we'll start simply by asking ourselves some questions,

Maybe getting to know our inner self a little bit better,

So that we can advocate for our desires,

Our needs,

Our inner child.

So wherever you are just getting into a comfortable seated or lying position,

Relaxing down the shoulders,

The eyebrows,

Maybe opening the palms towards the sky to receive or turning them down to ground.

If you're feeling a bit spacey,

There's no wrong way to be just maybe even taking this moment to ask your body what it wants.

Does it need an extra pillow?

Do you want to grab an ice pack for something that's been bothering you?

Did you forget to let someone in the house know that you're going to need a few minutes alone,

Undisturbed?

Maybe even pausing this meditation to handle everything that you need,

Maybe putting on some essential oils.

What would make this meditation even more enjoyable?

Not to check it off a to-do list,

But to pamper yourself for just 10 minutes or so.

And when you're ready to begin,

I'll be here.

Let's take a few deep breaths together.

Placing the right or the left hand onto the belly and maybe just taking a moment to thank your belly.

This is usually not an area that we pour a lot of self-love into.

So,

Thanking your digestion and honoring that.

And then inviting in a healing and cleansing breath.

And sighing that all out.

Good.

We'll take a few more like that in through the nose.

And a slow,

Intentional exhale,

Feeling the belly fall,

Fall,

Fall.

If you've opted for aromatherapy,

Notice how that scent affects you,

Makes you feel as you inhale.

Or maybe just noticing the temperature of that breath as you inhale,

And then notice that it's warm as you exhale.

And just the miracle of the breath,

Celebrating that your lungs are working,

That sensation of fullness when you inhale and hold the breath at the top,

Knowing you're full of life force,

Of nutrients,

Of oxygen.

Grateful for the experience of release as you let go of the breath and your muscles start to soften everywhere in your body.

If it feels forceful to breathe right now,

Change your position.

Maybe just turning onto your side,

Rounding and curling the spine.

See if it feels better to breathe out of the back of your lungs.

Or maybe you want to open up your shoulder blades and tilt the chin back and open through the front of the chest.

Play around to see what your body is asking for,

Not forcing it to take what it can get.

And I want you to bring to mind now a memory from this past week.

A moment where you felt a little bit more joy than you're used to.

Just a little.

And I want you to visualize who was there with you,

The scene,

The weather,

The temperature.

If you were outside,

The grass underneath you.

Maybe the color of the sky.

If you can remember what clothes you were wearing,

What you ate that day.

And if you're having trouble recalling this memory,

Just start to move your eyes really gently behind your eyelids.

Left and right.

Bringing to mind,

As you move the eyes,

A moment that you felt a little more joy.

And when you've got it,

Keeping the eyes where they were when you felt that sensation come over your body.

When you felt the experience.

And then start to breathe there.

Maybe you held back,

Celebrating your joy.

Expressing this presence,

This happiness.

And I want you to give yourself that opportunity right now.

It could be a small moment,

It could be a big win,

It doesn't matter.

Every particle is a party.

Cool.

Inside every cell,

There is a celebration.

There's nothing you need to do or change.

Just feel.

Where in your body,

This overflow might come from.

If it was free to move.

If that well of joy was opened,

Where would it come from in your body?

Move your hand there.

And just keep breathing.

Know that your life is constantly encouraging you to celebrate,

To find joy.

You must give yourself permission to be silly enough.

To be naive enough at times.

Because isn't it true that we tell ourselves not to get our hopes up.

That people will take our weakness,

Our vulnerability,

Our kindness.

And take advantage of it.

So we become shut down and cynical.

Can I tell you,

It's much more fun to believe in magic.

This life is about free will,

It's about choice.

And so if you've been living until this moment,

Not making a choice.

You made a choice by being indecisive.

Because in the gap of that decision,

Someone else will make it for you.

Sometimes something else.

Society.

Your loved ones.

Intrusive thoughts.

Life will always fill the gaps for us until we get in the driver's seat.

And we stop being afraid.

To exist.

Even if we're in pain,

Even if we feel like a burden.

Proudly and loudly.

Celebrating our wins.

And even falling apart.

When we need to.

So I want you to turn your gaze inward now.

Start to conversate with yourself.

Inviting a dialogue.

And maybe asking yourself.

What do you desire?

What do you desire?

Let it start flowing as if you're making a gratitude list.

And be specific.

What do you desire in relationships?

Notice if you're only saying or thinking of things that you think are possible.

Think outside of the realm of possibility.

Beyond what you've seen evidence for.

What do you desire?

What would bring ecstatic,

Sexy,

Euphoric joy to you?

Healthy boundaries.

People that understand me.

Adventure.

Abundance in the form of money or love.

Nature.

Maybe health in my body.

Movement.

Energy.

A sense of wholeness or peace.

Maybe there's something I want to learn more about or get good at.

A skill.

A hobby.

And I want you to now shift that perspective to having it.

Everything you desire,

You already have.

Just imagine that.

Take that on for a moment.

Breathe deep into that reality.

And so it is.

Take a deep breath in through the nose.

Wiggling your fingers and your toes.

Bringing all of that awareness back into this space,

This body.

Stretching the arms overhead.

Maybe bringing the knees to the chest.

Giving yourself a nice big squeeze.

If you're laying down,

Rocking side to side,

Massage the lower back.

And then maybe falling to a fetal position on your right or left side for a moment.

Or just placing your hands over your heart to complete and seal this meditation.

I pray that you would continue to release the pressure that was placed on you a long time ago.

And that you would choose to live loudly and embrace your wild,

Pure,

Innocent expression of truth,

Bliss,

And joy.

May you have peace always,

My friend.

Namaste.
