Wolf Spirit Guided Journey Full Moon Visualisation

I wrote this journey for a full moon ceremony in Cancer and share it here to help others connect with the wolf spirit or the archetype of a wolf. Those wishing to connect with the full moon may find this particularly useful, or those who want to explore the spirit of the wolf within themselves. Wolves are both independent and loyal to their pack and offer the opportunity to explore themes of protection, boundaries, and intuition. We're going to go on a journey to meet wolf spirit. Take a moment to find a comfortable position for this journey. This may be lying down with blankets or sitting up in a way that feels supportive and nurturing for your body. To feel comfortable to go on this journey together. As you find this position allow some small movements. Allow your body to release anything that it needs to release and coming into a place of more stillness. Maybe take a cleansing breath in through the nose and out through the mouth audibly. Allow the ripple of that out breath to soothe your body. Allowing yourself to come to a place of ease. Take a moment to notice any areas of tension in your body and as you breathe naturally and easily. Breathe into these places and on the out breath allow them to release. Now draw your attention to your breath. The feeling of the breath on your upper lip. The difference in the temperature between the in breath and the out breath. If you struggle to connect with this you can deepen the breath so that it is more felt. Notice the sensation inside the nostril and then allowing your attention to stray down towards your abdominal area. Noticing the rise and fall of the belly. You can place a hand here if you'd like an extra connection. Now let that awareness dissolve and we're going to go on this journey together. You find yourself on the edge of open moorland. The moon is rising and the air is crisp. Mist clings to rocks that you can see on the horizon. Start to walk towards the rocks and notice the moon leading the way. You can feel the energy of her silvery rays upon your skin. Notice the grasses brushing your legs as you weave through the land. As you approach the rocks you notice that this is the edge of a cliff. You stand on the edge alone yet held by the moonlight. Take in the vista and listen. What can you hear? You feel drawn to find water and skim the edge of the cliff until you notice a pool of water in the marshes. Walk towards it and look into the shining waters. The moonlight is so bright you can see her in the water and yourself. As you gaze at your reflection in the water allow your focus to soften. The image of yourself starts to blur and dissolve. The image of yourself that you recognize and this image looking back at you from the water is now a wolf. The wolf mirrors your movements as you move. Allow yourself just to breathe with wolf and look straight into her eyes. She sees all of who you are and what you are feeling. What do you see in her? As you connect with her you begin to embody the wolf. Allow your body to move like wolf. How do you feel as you become wolf? You realize you're being guided to somewhere now by wolf spirit and you surrender to the journey. You are both alone in the vast landscape and yet not. You feel at ease as your wolf self. An awareness of the pack that isn't too far. You notice there's no chatter in the mind. Just total clarity of your inner knowing. Your senses are heightened and you are acutely aware of your environment. The smells. The feeling of the air. Where is wolf guiding you? Wherever you end up. You feel the rising motion of a howl. A call to your tribe. Throw your head back and howl to the moon and then listen to it echo in the vastness. Is there a reply to your call? Rest here a moment. Feel the dense earth beneath you and the clean air around you. The moon is at her highest and it's time for you to make your way back to where we started our journey. Start to wander back through the moorland. Along the way you notice the glint of a pool of water. Again in the marshland and you gravitate towards it. Look into the water and see the reflection of wolf. Soften your gaze. Allow that image to dissolve until your reflection of your human self has returned. You notice a different glint in your eye. You know that you can reconnect with wolf whenever you want to and take a moment to remember how it feels to embody the spirit of wolf. Retrace your steps back through the marshland. Holding this feeling close to you and check in with your heartbeat which is leading the way for the return journey. You are far away from the cliff and waters now. At the start of the moorland it feels familiar and you're ready to return to your body in this moment, In this space that you're in. Allow this image to dissolve and draw your attention back to your breath. The feeling of the breath in the nostrils on the upper lip. Notice the feeling of the floor beneath you and when you feel ready allow your fingers and toes to move. There is no rush.

This was cool, I'll do it again! I thought the pacing felt just right and the length works well for me too - did it on a lunch break this first time. I like that there were parts with music and some parts without music.
