Welcome to today's meditation,
I invite you to take the deepest breath that you've done all day and let it sink deep down into your body,
Let the breath drop into your belly.
Today we're going to think about coming home to ourselves,
Coming home to our bodies.
I invite you to draw in deep,
Deep lungfuls of air,
Inhaling all the beautiful divine connection that's available to us when we open our hearts and our cells and our bodies and invite that connection in.
Just inhale deeply and with every breath imagine it just dropping deep into your belly,
Into your center,
Into your core.
I invite you to move around gently in your body until you can find a really settled spot.
Just feel into your physical being,
Looking for that place where your spiritual center can connect with the physical pain being,
With the physical space that you live in.
Drop deep,
Deep down,
Deep down into your lower pelvis.
Can you feel it?
Find that spot,
That place that feels like your center and just soften there,
Soften into that really,
Really safe space.
And when you're there,
Know that this is your home.
This is your safe,
Safe haven.
A home that is yours that no one can ever take away from you.
That you choose to visit and stay in anytime you wish.
You can come back to this home,
This safe place anytime you choose.
You'll always be there.
You can open the door and walk through and rest there anytime you choose.
It's safe.
It's warm.
It's like coming back to a burning hearth.
It's like being wrapped in the softest blanket.
It's like being warmed when you've come in from outside and there's snow and cold and you walk through the door and you feel the warmth tickling through your extremities,
Warming you up,
Heating you,
Invigorating you,
Nurturing you,
Nourishing you,
Wrapping you in love,
Wrapping you in the warmth,
Wrapping you in safety.
In this space you feel warm and safe.
It's your space,
You can come back to it anytime you like.
No one will take it away from you.
You can access it at any point you just need to find that door and walk through it and take your seat by the hearth that burns inside you.
I invite you to recognise this space,
Notice it,
Anchor it,
Mark a path back to it,
Put a pin marker in it,
Maybe even put a beacon outside it so that you can always find it in the dark.
Know that it is yours.
Know that it will never leave you.
Even if you wander from it,
You can return.
It is your safe space,
It is your home,
It is your birthright.
I'd like to thank you for visiting your home.
I'd like to thank you for looking for connection.
I'd like to thank you for being here,
Making the effort to return home,
In connecting with community,
Reconnecting with each other and bringing more love into the world.
More peace,
More stability,
More tetheredness,
More gentleness,
In taking time to connect with ourselves,
More gently,
Being of service to each other.
And incrementally,
Helping each other to feel more safe,
Helping to guide each other home.
Each time we take a moment to reconnect,
Re-centre,
To find that home within ourselves.
We're creating a safer space for everyone else around us.
We're building homes.
We're building homes for all those who walk near us or walk by us.
We're helping to walk each other home.
So I thank you for practicing with me today and for finding your own home and for coming home to you.
I honour you for that.
I invite you to take a deep,
Deep breath.
Breathe in even more love and exhale that love into the universe.
As this meditation draws to a close,
I'd like to say a prayer that is dear to me.
Dear God,
Where will you have me go?
What will you have me do?
What will you have me say?
And to whom?
Amen.
And so it is.
