Hello everyone,

Thank you for listening to my audio.

This is LP Visit GTM.

In this audio,

I will teach you how to check your meditation experience.

Have you ever wondered yourself,

How do you know if your meditation is progress or not?

Well,

Yes,

You come to listening at the right one.

According to the previous audio that mentioned about the foundations of meditation,

Which are mindfulness,

Relaxation,

Consistency,

And observation.

These are the four foundations of the middle way meditation or Dhammakaya meditation that one can practice.

Supposedly,

You have practiced every day and maintain these four from the beginning until the end.

Here is how you will be able to check whether you are progressing or not.

Number one,

When you are meditating,

You feel yourself that you are present at this moment.

This will show you now that you are progressing and still meditating at the moment because you are aware of yourself.

When body and mind are relaxed,

Synchronized together,

The mind will be able to focus,

Thus come to a standstill state.

In this state,

You begin to feel your presence,

Being aware of yourself,

Kind of like you are knowing that you are sitting here at the moment,

You enjoy and like to stay.

You feeling aware of yourself at the moment.

As you continue to still further,

The feeling of empty,

Spacious,

Light,

Or expand will arise in your meditation.

Even though you are just sitting there not doing anything,

It just expanding further and further.

If you get to this part,

This is showing that you are doing correctly.

But if you just only feel aware of yourself but have not feel expand,

Light,

Spacious,

Or empty just yet,

Somewhere along the way,

It means that you are still trying too hard,

Still adjusting.

It doesn't mean that you have done it wrong.

It's just about 95% correct,

Not there 100% yet.

In order for one to progress,

The mind must be still 100%.

So at this stage,

When you gain spacious,

Light feeling,

Emptiness,

Feeling like your body,

Your whole presence is there but you don't feel anything else.

You feeling aware just yourself right now in this present moment.

This is the sign that you are in this state.

As you progress further,

The feeling of brightness,

Clarity will begin to surface.

Funny,

Isn't it?

When you close your eyes,

How do you know it's bright?

It is the feeling of brightness that you gain through your meditation.

It will surface once you find your mind become still,

Feeling spacious.

The brightness will soon follow after that,

Sometimes feeling bright like a dim light or candle light.

As you progress further,

It could be as bright as the sun in the morning or sometimes even at the noon time or even brighter more than one sun or two sun or many more.

But the feeling of clarity like this that you experience,

It doesn't feel hot.

Instead,

It still feels cool and tender to your eyes that you don't feel any uncomfortable.

Feeling just only want to stay and feel them even though you're still closing your eyes.

However,

If you get to state one of present,

Then state two of spacious feeling and feeling of clarity on state three.

If you don't get the last one,

It's still not entirely progressed correctly just yet.

Because in the last one,

It will be telling you now that you are doing correctly or not.

Which is contentment or joy.

Joy in here are more like happiness.

But it is not the happiness that comes from you gaining something that you like or being achieving something that you have trying to finish or complete.

The joy in here is mean like you are being content of what you have gained.

But it's much more immense many times when the mind becomes still.

When your mind becomes still,

The state of presence,

Spacious,

Feeling of clarity and contentment come together at one feeling.

It will come all together at once.

If you have this feeling,

You will soon realize that time flies by very fast and you want to stay like this further and longer.

Don't want to do anything else until you are having enough of it.

And soon,

Your meditation experience will go backward.

And that means the sign that you have enough and you will feel you want to open your eyes by yourself.

Some may be asking,

Can I just stay as long as I like?

Well,

Yes.

But remember,

When we are practicing,

At the beginning,

Our mind are not complete.

Sometimes we are not familiar or used to this experience.

So when you practice for a certain period of time,

You will be having feeling of enough and you slowly open your eyes,

Finish your meditation by yourself.

Compare to it just like when you are eating a good meal.

Even though on the table,

You have all your favorite food,

But you can eat just as much as your stomach can hold.

Same thing for meditation,

When you start practicing or new to this,

It can last long yet.

But when you practice more and more,

The mind,

Body begin to adapt and adjust.

And soon,

It will progress,

Increasing the length of time for one to enjoy in the state of stillness,

Which having presence,

Feeling,

Spacious,

Clarity and contentment.

Alright everyone,

I hope this explains clearly and help you to check yourself which state you are in your meditation practice.

And I hope you all success in meditation.
