Hello and welcome to this five-minute breather.
This is time for you,
A chance to recharge and to listen to a short guided reflection.
Today's invitation is to keep trusting that whatever is happening,
You can always take the next step.
If you find your mind swirls with agitation,
Or you feel lost,
Or you don't know which way to turn,
Just allow yourself to trust.
Trust your inner compass and trust in the next step,
However small.
Find a comfortable place to settle.
You might like to close your eyes.
Take a deep breath and bring your attention to your feet.
Continue to breathe deeply,
And as you do,
Slowly move your awareness upward to your legs,
Your hips,
Your back,
And your shoulders.
Notice any tension,
And each time you breathe out,
Feel the tension loosen and leave your body.
Today,
On my morning walk,
A cool mist has settled on the moorland.
The landscape looks unfamiliar in this grey world.
I move slowly.
My heart quickens.
What if I become lost?
A gentle inner knowing whispers for me to keep taking just one step at a time.
As I walk slowly,
Drops of dew and moisture sparkle on the grass.
The sun climbs in the sky and the mist begins to melt.
Patches of blue emerge overhead.
I feel the gentle warmth of the sun on my face and feel gratitude that I can see clearly once again.
A question arises.
Ask yourself.
Do you feel lost?
Can you trust to take the next step?
As you reflect,
Be kind to yourself.
If you feel stuck or if you feel in a place of indecision,
Be gentle.
When your mind is agitated with frightening thoughts about the future,
Then it can feel like you need to get things right.
When the mist of your thoughts obscures the path,
Understand that you only ever need to take one small step at a time.
As you look within to your inner place of knowing,
To your inner compass,
You will be able to take that next step.
Take another deep breath and ask yourself the following question.
What small step am I being called to take?
What small step am I being called to take?
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the room.
Trust that the wisdom you've received is a gift.
It might not come through words or be easily expressed.
Let it settle within you and allow yourself to be guided by whatever wisdom arises.
