Hi my name is Lisa and welcome to your meditation for your empaths toolkit.
So what is an empath?
To have empathy for someone or something or situation means to really put yourself in the shoes,
The feelings and experience with these individuals or with these beings that feel maybe physically,
Emotionally,
Maybe even energetically.
You can also understand and be empathetic on a somatic level.
Doctors,
Healers can actually feel someone's pain just by looking at their wound or having a understanding of where the pain is coming from.
This is a gift and we need more empathetic people in this world forever and always.
But this gift also comes with challenges.
If you tend to feel emotionally or even physically drained by being around situations that are emotionally charged,
Around people that may be emotionally charged,
Or situations,
Even the movies,
The news can really emotionally take a toll on you,
This is a great opportunity to practice energetical boundaries so that you know where your emotions begin and end and you can clear that space for yourself.
You can clear that circle for yourself so that you can continue to serve but from a healthier place.
A great way to look at this is when someone is drowning,
It's very dangerous to just go in the water and physically try to pull them out because the reality is it's a gut human instinct to physically pull another person down,
Even if the intention isn't malicious,
It's just this gut reaction.
So lifeguards either stick a pole,
A hand,
Or even wrap around a person and physically hold them from behind so that the drowning individual doesn't take a hold and push them down.
This is our role as empaths.
We don't want to go down with a person we're trying to help out.
We want to be able to approach the situation from our own safe space so that we know where we begin and where we end emotionally.
With that,
Let's take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale sigh out let go.
Breathing in and exhale sigh out let go.
Now let's breathe in for a count of four.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold.
Exhale sigh out nice long and slow.
Try to make the sigh out up to six counts.
Breathing in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale sigh out three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Last time,
Breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale fully and exhale let go.
I want you to take a moment of acknowledgement.
A lot of the times we don't acknowledge what we are really feeling enough.
So go ahead and acknowledge how you are physically feeling,
How you are emotionally feeling,
Thoughts,
And how the thoughts may feel and the patterns the thoughts may take.
Invite yourself to create a space of zero judgment,
Zero criticism.
Take a moment to just simply honor all that you are in your magnificence,
In your humanity.
And from this space of recognizing what is within you,
I invite you to take a moment to recognize what is outside of you,
What is not part of this internal experience,
The sounds,
The energy.
And I ask you to release all that is around you so that you can deeply honor what is within you so that you can authentically serve from a healthy,
Selfless place.
And I invite you from this place to visualize your favorite shape.
It can be a spiral,
A square,
A circle,
A hexagon,
Or an octagon.
But I ask you to energetically visualize yourself stepping into this 3D shape around you.
Notice every corner and just breathe here knowing that you are safe.
With every inhale,
Breathe into this energetical space.
With every exhale,
Release outside of this space what isn't yours,
What no longer serves you.
And from here,
I want you to repeat these affirmations,
These words to fortify this energetical,
Protective space around you.
I invite in protective energy from illuminating heavens above and grounding energy below.
I release and cast out what is not mine.
I honor my own emotions,
Releasing any narratives that keep me from doing so.
I release all fear around not being enough,
Accepted,
Or loved.
I release all that is out of my control.
I am worthy of manifesting a safe space,
Healing,
And nurturing space.
From here,
I want you to visualize you in this shape transporting to a place where you feel very much like yourself,
Grounded,
Protected,
And you can let go of all and any tension in the body,
Releasing tension in jaw,
In shoulders,
Down the back,
To hips,
To knees,
To ankles and toes.
Release all tension and be in this space.
And from here,
I invite you to set an intention that will help fortify this shape around you.
And whenever you feel emotionally overwhelmed or taken over,
Like you're drowning and you don't know where your emotions begin and where someone else's ends,
Step back into this shape.
Remember the intention.
From here,
I invite you to hold the wisdom of this meditation,
Don't release it,
Don't let it go,
But begin to slowly deepen the breath,
Wiggle fingers,
Toes,
And if the eyes were closed,
Gently float the eyes open,
Walk through the world with this grounded energy around you,
My friend.
I thank you so much for taking the time to meditate with me and may this practice serve you.
So many blessings.
Namaste,
My friend.
