In this meditation, we will be using the Yoga Philosophy of the 5 Koshas, or layers of our body to unwind after a long workday. The Koshas range from body, breath, emotions, and thoughts to our soul. When we have the 5 layers in alignment, all layers become one with our "Bliss Body". This meditation is meant to help you release workday stress and anxiety, as well as clear the mind of what no longer serves you. I hope this meditation will help you end your day on the right note! Namaste.

Hi,

My name is Liza and this is a Kosha meditation to free the mind from a busy workday.

We all have busy days or busy workdays,

Especially if we work from home,

The day comes with us.

It takes a while to quiet the mind down and release the day to relax the body and prepare for a space of rest and decompression.

In this simple yet effective meditation,

We'll be using the Koshas,

The idea of exploring body,

Mind,

And soul to find our internal bliss and ground into the present moment while freeing our minds from a hectic workday,

Reflecting on all the blessings we have and how far we've come.

Take a nice big deep inhale and exhale,

Sigh out.

Breathe in and sigh out.

Last big deep inhale and exhale.

We will now begin to ground down into the physical body or Anumayakosha.

Begin to notice how you physically feel in this present moment without judgment or criticism.

Scan the body from head to toe.

If it comes naturally,

Begin to wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

And simply notice.

I invite you to place a hand over your chest and feel your heartbeat.

Notice the skin on the palm of your hands.

Notice your heart beating underneath your palm.

Notice how this heart beats 24-7,

Sending nutrients,

Blood,

And oxygen throughout the body.

Take a moment to simply be grateful for the body and all that it does.

Release your hand from your heart.

Breathe in deeply into the body and sigh out.

Begin to notice your breath without judgment.

Simply witness the rise and fall of your breath.

This is your breath body or Pranayamayakosha.

Let the breath help you release any tension from the body.

Can you see how far the breath can travel?

Can you send it down to the feet?

And exhale,

Let it release from the crown of your head.

Explore how deeply you can breathe.

Explore the edges.

Taking a moment to simply find the gratitude for your breath.

Now begin to notice your thoughts.

Notice how they move.

Are they sporadic?

Are they slow?

And if they happen to be negative,

Ask yourself,

Who would I be without these negative thoughts?

What would I be able to do?

Just observe the thoughts and let them pass by like passing clouds in a blue sky.

Notice any emotions that come up with these thoughts.

Honor your emotions and recognize that you are not your thoughts,

You are not your emotions.

Breathe in.

Let go.

This space of thoughts and emotions is Manayamayakosha,

The emotional thought body.

Recognize simply by observing that your thoughts and emotions do not make you who you are.

Allow yourself to simply observe the body,

The mind,

The emotions and the breath from a place of stillness.

And let wisdom come to you as the mind wanders.

But you remain unattached.

Allow yourself to soak up the wisdom from stillness without attaching to the physical body,

The breath or the storylines.

Breathe in.

Exhale.

Let the wisdom from simply observing wash over you.

This is the space of Vijamayakosha,

The wisdom body.

Moving from this space,

Allow yourself to visualize you at your absolute happiest.

Observe yourself in a space of pure bliss.

This bliss is your true nature.

This is who you truly are.

In this space of Ananda Mayakosha,

Your bliss,

Spirit and body.

From this space of Ananda Mayakosha or bliss body,

Send intention for yourself to end your day right.

How do you wish to spend the end of your day releasing yourself from work,

Stress and overwhelm?

When you are ready,

Gently breathe in,

Sigh out and float the eyes open.

Excellent job my friend.

May this meditation serve you and may you go live your intention.

Many blessings and profound luck my friend.

Namaste.
