Come into your comfortable seat,
Perhaps sitting on a cushion.
Or maybe today you'd like to lie down for this meditation.
Take a moment to shift and move until you find the place to settle.
And once you've found the place to settle,
Take a breath through the nose,
Through the mouth.
Let it go.
And we'll do that two more times.
A slow deep breath through the nose.
And perhaps with a sigh.
Ah.
Let the breath go.
And once more inhaling through your nose.
And let the breath fall away as you settle even more.
Aligning your spine from tailbone to crown.
Take another slow breath through your nose and hold.
And this time purse your lips like you're blowing out a candle.
Let the breath leave.
Again through the nose,
Inhale.
Pursing the lips.
And one more time inhale.
Long slow breath through the lips.
And notice your body softening and releasing down from the top of your head.
Relaxing the ears,
The face.
Let your teeth part and your jaw release.
Relaxing through your jaw,
Your throat,
Your neck.
And all of that relaxation flows to your shoulders.
As you notice the shoulders relaxing down,
Becoming heavy.
Softening from the shoulders all the way down to your elbows.
And you feel relaxation and warmth flowing from the elbows down through your wrists.
From the wrists into your palms.
All the way to the tips of your fingers.
Take a slow deep breath in.
And with a side let the chest soften.
The shoulder blades melt.
Relaxing from under the arms down the side waist.
And let your belly soften.
It feels so good to let go of the tension of your belly.
Let it fill with a breath and let it fall away.
The hips now are so heavy.
Settling into the soft earth beneath you.
The warmth flowing down from the hips to the hips.
The warmth flowing down from the hips to the knees.
From your knees to your ankles.
Filling the soles of your feet.
All is settled.
All is well.
All is settled.
And all is well.
Bring the attention back to your natural soft breath.
An easy subtle inhale.
A soft relaxing exhale.
And simply notice the space inside.
Noticing any sensations,
Pulses,
Or maybe tingling inside.
Feel yourself relaxed and comfortable.
Grounded and at ease.
And we'll use your imagination now.
So imagine you've got a warm soft blanket around your shoulders.
Swaddling you and holding you in its warmth.
Feels as if it's safe.
Protective as it lays over your shoulders.
And we'll create space now.
A space that is sacred for you.
I'd like you now to imagine that you're seated in a beautiful log cabin in front of a massive fireplace.
So large it's as if you could even walk into it.
The warmth radiates through the entire space.
Feel it around you.
Perfectly comfortable.
Snuggled in your blanket.
You might notice things around this room.
Maybe things that are important to you or things you've never seen before.
Notice this space around you and let it develop in your mind's eye.
Filled with all the comforts and with healing from the mind's eyes.
And with healing warmth.
Notice the flicker of light from the flames of the fire behind your closed eyelids.
Feel its warmth softly on your face,
Your neck and chest warming your belly.
And you feel connected to this fire and to this place.
This place of peace,
Of ease,
Of healing.
A place that's your very own.
You feel the protection of this cabin,
Of this fire,
Of this blanket.
And you feel whole and safe.
This is a place you can return to anytime you choose by simply closing your eyes and allowing it to be.
Take a mental image of the place.
Notice how it feels and draw it deep within you,
Placing it in your heart.
This sacred home,
Sacred space within.
Feel its warmth circling in your heart and your chest.
Take a breath in through your nose and sigh.
And notice yourself now back in this place,
In this time.
Filled with the energy of your sacred space.
And gently let the eyes flutter open.
Take a breath in and let the breath go.
And I invite you to come back over and over again to the sacred place within.
To the sacred place within.
Namaste.
