When we are setting goals or trying to accomplish a challenging task, the "what if's" tend to immediately pop up. You ask yourself, "What if I fail?" or "What if it's too hard?" That negativing can hold you back and even hinder you from accomplishing what you wish. This meditation is flipping the script on the negative "what ifs," allowing you to uncover "what is" and "what can be" when you move out of fear.

Have you ever found yourself asking,

What if?

What if I do this and it doesn't work out?

What if I do this and I fail?

What if I do this and it doesn't turn out the way I want it to?

What if I do this and I just can't?

We can hold ourselves back because of fear of the unknown.

We say,

But what if this happens or what if that happens?

And by doing this,

We trap ourselves and rarely progress forward.

So today we are going to flip the script on the negative what ifs.

We're going to turn that into a positive.

We're going to reframe our minds and shift our negative beliefs.

So the next time we ask ourselves what if,

It's what if we can.

So find yourself in a comfortable position that could be sitting up,

Propped up against a wall,

Laying down,

Whatever works for you.

And take a nice long slow inhale through your nose and audibly exhale through your mouth letting anything go that you might be holding on to.

Let's do that again.

A nice slow inhale through your nose,

Filling up your lungs,

Filling up your belly and audibly exhaling out slowly,

Deliberately letting go of any tension.

Now continue to breathe in and out of your nose,

Slowing down your breath.

Breathing in for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

And out for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Breathing in for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Out for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

In one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Out for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Continue to breathe slow and steady,

Grounding yourself into this moment in the nose,

Out the nose,

Letting go of everything that happened before and not thinking about what's to come,

And just being here now,

In this moment,

Present,

Connected to your breath,

Grounding into the floor beneath you,

Smoothing out any hitches of the breath.

Now as you continue to breathe in and out,

Think of something you really want to do,

Something you've tried but maybe the circumstances have held you back or excuses have gotten in the way,

Something that you really want to accomplish but you just haven't done that yet.

Now ask yourself,

What if I actually accomplished this?

What would that look like?

Get curious about it.

What if I try just a little more to see this through?

What step can I take today to get started and move one step forward?

And what would happen if I did that?

What if my life changes for the better?

What if I get everything I want if I just try and do this?

How would that life look?

How would that moment feel?

What if I stopped letting my fear hold me back?

What if I believed in myself,

Always,

Every day?

Reflecting on the what ifs,

You've gotten a glimpse of what your life can be like and how you can start to do it.

Keep that positivity in your heart and use it to take action.

Know that the what ifs don't have to be scary.

Instead they can drive you,

Move you forward.

Breathe that in.

Take a nice long slow inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth audibly.

Repeat that again.

A nice long slow inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Holding on to the feelings that you have now.

Take this momentum and go out and accomplish your goals.

Complete the task.

Take a step today.

Now let's take one last inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Smile and open your eyes.

Go and have an amazing day.

Thank you for meditating with me.
