The Temple of Black Obsidian is a sacred space of transformation and introspection, a unique sanctuary where Isis is your guide. Black Obsidian, known for its grounding and protective qualities has a reflective surface, which acts as a mirror, encouraging us to delve deep within our consciousness and confront our shadow side - the fears, unresolved issues, and unexpressed desires that we often choose to suppress. It is within this temple, that we are invited to acknowledge and understand the genesis of our big emotions and how they contribute to our shadow side. Ultimately, we will gain wisdom and peace through self-acceptance and love, thereby harmonizing the light and dark within ourselves.

Hello and welcome.

You are joining this meditation because you're experiencing big emotions right now or recently.

These emotions feel like reactions that you've been triggered to feel.

They make you feel a little out of control or off kilter.

Maybe you're exhausted by these feelings or prayerful that they'll just disappear.

I honor your hunger to heal yourself and address a deeper understanding of these feelings.

We will do just that.

We will journey into the temple of black obsidian,

Which is symbolic of our shadow side.

Our shadow side is like the dark side of the moon unseen,

But ever present.

It is a reservoir of aspects that we may not be proud of,

Or that society has taught us to suppress.

It harbors our fears,

Traumas,

Unresolved conflicts,

Unfulfilled expectations,

And unexpressed desires.

Yet it's not solely a place of darkness and despair.

Revealing the shadow side has multiple benefits.

It allows us to acknowledge the totality of our being and encourages self-acceptance.

By bringing these aspects to light,

We become aware,

And we heal old wounds and resolve conflicts.

It also enables us to utilize our latent talents and abilities that otherwise might remain undiscovered.

In my experience working with the shadow side,

Our awareness informs us of our wounds and our sensitivities,

And by familiarizing ourselves with their origin story,

We take back our own power.

An outburst of emotions fade to the past.

We experience more peace within ourselves.

We suffer less of the choppy and unpredictable seas of life,

And more of the sunshine and wind in our sails.

We are still very much in the flow of life.

We are simply enjoying our own steadiness,

Even though there is plenty of natural uncertainty around us.

We come to the Temple of Black Obsidian to reveal more of our true selves and integrate what wisdom arises.

This wisdom becomes our superpower,

Our self-knowledge,

Our peace.

The concept of the Temple of Black Obsidian is a gift from Alana Fairchild's Isis Oracle deck.

I have made it my own to share with you here.

Let us begin to embody the body with our breath.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Really expand your belly with the breath.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Inhale.

And this time,

Audibly exhale with a sigh,

Letting it all go.

Now bring your awareness to that vast,

Still space deep within you.

It reaches wide,

And as you tune into it,

You can feel a sense of peace emanating from within.

This space is a reflection of your inner world,

A place of infinite possibilities.

Within this inner space,

You become aware of a beautiful winged goddess dressed in a white robe,

Adorned in jewelry made of black obsidian on her neck and arms.

As the goddess gazes at you,

She invites you to follow her to a great temple in the distance.

You feel drawn to this temple,

As it holds a deeper truth and understanding.

Together with the goddess,

You approach the temple entrance.

Before entering,

You step into a small antechamber lined with rose quartz.

The soft pink cool shades of the rose quartz fill the space,

Emanating an energy of endless love.

The goddess Isis suggests that you take as much of this love energy into your being as you can,

Allow it to penetrate your heart,

Filling you up until you are as full as can be.

Feel the unconditional love flowing through you,

Knowing that you are loved,

Honored and accepted no matter what.

Feel this love in your heart,

Knowing that you are a divine soul.

Love,

Forgive,

Trust and rescue yourself from self-criticism.

Embrace your free will and recognize yourself as a sovereign being of light.

With Isis by your side,

The temple door opens,

Revealing a dark chamber,

Paved completely with gleaming black obsidian.

The energy within the chamber is neutral,

And the darkness of the volcanic glass reflects all aspects of yourself.

Allow yourself to see,

Sense or feel this big emotion reflected in this dark chamber.

It might be fear,

Rage,

Anger,

Rejection,

Disappointment.

Remember this emotion is not your enemy,

It is your teacher.

It carries important messages about your needs and boundaries.

We are here to objectively learn about ourselves.

Ask the temple what this emotion can reveal to you.

What trauma or unrealized expectation does this emotion come from?

How did this emotion begin?

Was there an incident that happened as a child?

Does this emotion arise because of societal norms?

Family expectations?

Was there a characteristic or quality that you did not receive?

Or perhaps you did receive it,

Unfortunately.

See the reflection on the glass.

What are the incidents of origin?

Can you see any scenes from your life playing out in the glass?

If at any point you need to withdraw from the temple,

Honor your boundaries and needs and return to the rose quartz antechamber.

Fill up again on the limitless love available to you there.

Returning back to the black obsidian temple,

Do you feel comfortable walking towards the glass?

Reach your hand out and feel the edges,

Are they rough or smooth?

Can you utilize the rose quartz in your being to smooth any rough edges?

Now expand that sentiment and allow the rose quartz to fill this chamber of black obsidian.

The amount of love and self-acceptance that you can offer now to the temple of black obsidian is directly proportional to the amount of wisdom and peace you will gain with your newfound awareness of your shadow side.

Offer more of your love and self-acceptance now.

And when you feel complete,

Leave the temple of black obsidian.

Goddess Isis,

Known for her fierce love,

Meets you outside the chamber,

Offering you a gift,

A blessing of pure golden light in your heart.

Feel this golden light infusing every cell of your being,

Filling you up with a deep sense of love and inner peace.

Take a moment to express gratitude to Isis,

To the crystals,

And to the temple for supporting you through this healing process.

You are changed,

Your soul's light shines brighter from you now.

Go with wisdom and enjoy your own peace.
