Close your eyes and slow your breathing down.
Settle into an even rhythm of inhale and exhale.
Rest your attention lightly along your inhale.
And across your exhale,
Focus on your breathing for a moment.
Feel how it supports you.
Relax into that steady rhythm of inhale and exhale.
And let your next inhale pull you in like a little river into the inner world more deeply.
And stay in here,
Focusing inward.
Notice what that's like to be inside.
And bring your attention up into the center of your head,
As if you were a little ball of golden light right there in the center underneath that protective dome of cranium.
Feel what that's like to be up there in the center of your head.
Notice a little glass elevator right there next to you in your cranium.
And step into that elevator,
Teeny tiny.
And then allow it to pull you down gently,
Slowly,
Down past jawbone,
Down along the column of throat,
Passing tissue,
Muscle,
Vertebrae,
Down lower past your collarbones,
And then coming to a stop right in the center of your chest.
And step out of the elevator and feel yourself underneath that arch of rib and sternum.
Feel the huge,
Strong presence of the lungs steadily supporting you,
Working for you.
Notice how you feel toward those lungs.
Notice how it feels different to be down in your chest.
And see that you are next to the muscle of the heart.
Just notice its presence.
See that there is a door on the wall of the heart.
Notice what color it is.
And as you inhale slowly,
Exhale and pass right through that door into the heart room.
And feel what it's like to be inside here,
This deepest,
Innermost place.
Just give yourself a moment to get oriented,
To take it in.
And look up above you in the heart room.
Look down at your feet.
And look around.
Notice the walls of the heart room.
What is the light like in here?
Is it dark?
Is it bright?
If you would like more light,
Simply ask that there be light.
And watch the room lighten.
Sometimes suddenly and brightly,
Sometimes gradually.
Or maybe it remains dark.
Notice your experience.
What does it feel like to be in here?
Let yourself take in any other details.
What are the walls of the heart room like?
Are they a color?
Do you see any forms?
Notice the large presence of the heart.
You are there with it.
Feel yourself receiving a light coming from that heart,
Embracing you,
Bathing you in it.
What is this like to be in the presence of your heart?
Notice how the heart feels for you.
You are not alone in here.
Take that in.
Let yourself receive the heart,
What it's giving you.
This is the innermost place that has limitless possibility.
Here,
You can go anywhere in time.
You can meet with any part of you.
You can return to places where you need to heal or finish business.
You can ask the child part of you to come to you here.
And you and the child,
Through the heart room,
Can go anywhere,
Do anything.
That the child may need.
This is your core.
It will come to you.
It will present itself to you in the way that your soul can best receive that energy.
Take a moment in here and ask,
Is there a place,
An image,
That can feel like home?
A homing device,
In a way,
Where you can go that is your most sacred place.
The heart room can present itself to you in that way.
Maybe it's a beach,
Deep in a forest,
A high meadow in late afternoon.
Maybe it's a place you've been before,
Where you felt most wanted and welcomed.
Or maybe it's a place you imagine.
The heart room,
Your core,
Will give you whatever you need.
Take a moment and allow this special place to show itself to you as fully as you want.
What is the light like there?
Is it night or day?
Is there a sound that you hear?
Is there a smell?
Notice exactly where you are sitting or standing or lying in this place.
What are you seeing here?
How do you feel being in this place?
Notice that.
This is the place you can return to any and every time you choose.
The heart room is the origin,
The source of it,
In the center of you.
As you come to this place more and more,
You'll find that it's quicker and easier to get here.
You'll find that it's always,
Actually there.
You'll find that even out in the world,
With your eyes open,
You can go here.
Return your attention to the heart room itself.
If it transformed into another place in nature or another place that felt special,
Watch it return to its original form.
The walls of the heart room,
The floor,
Looking up above you again,
Feeling again what it's like to be in this innermost place.
Notice again the presence of the heart,
That enormous energy that is there for you,
Holding you,
Knowing you,
Knowing every moment that you have been alive.
For now,
It's a lot to simply come here.
To find your way in through the door that was on the outside of the heart.
To get oriented in here.
To see the endless expanding possibilities of place and time that are in here.
To see that special homing device,
That place that you love.
To see that appear in here.
Prepare to leave in a moment here by just looking around one more time.
Breathe slowly.
And then when you're ready,
Turn back toward that door that led you in.
Notice its color again.
Breathe in slowly.
And as you exhale,
Open the door and pass back through out into the center of your chest,
Where you are underneath,
Once again,
That protective arch of ribs and sternum.
Feel the big presence of your lungs again,
How loyal they are.
Notice how you feel toward them.
And see that the glass elevator is waiting for you there in the center of your chest.
And step back into it,
Teeny tiny,
And allow it to pull you slowly and gently up,
Up,
Past your collarbones,
Up,
Passing by the ligament and muscle and vertebrae of your throat,
All the way up past your jaw,
Coming to rest once again in the center of your head.
And step out of the elevator and feel what it's like to be up here under the dome of cranium that protects you.
What is it like to be here,
Up here in your head?
What is it like to be in your heart?
Feel the difference from when you were in your heart room.
Notice that you are that tiny ball of light.
See that your light is casting all across the inside of your head.
And orient yourself forward.
Out toward your eye sockets.
And breathe deeply,
Slowly.
And on your exhale,
Pass back out through your eye sockets,
Slowly opening your eyes and letting your vision rest softly a couple of feet in front of you.
And on your exhale,
Just perceive,
Let whatever your eyes rest on,
Simply be.
And bring your attention back again to that even,
Rhythmic breathing.
And when you're ready,
Take in more of your surroundings,
Relax your shoulders.
You have once again entered the outer world,
That place where we spend most of our time.
You've been both places now.
And now you know exactly how to go into your core being.
Call it what feels right to you.
Remember that.
