If you're sitting,
Simply relax into your chair.
If you're sleeping on the bed,
Perfect.
Feel yourself sink a little bit deeper into the bed.
And if it is safe to do so,
You can close your eyes.
And as you close your eyes,
Simply bring your awareness to your breath.
Don't force it.
Simply become aware of it as it enters your nostrils and leaves your nostrils.
And take a minute to scan your body from head to toe.
Look for any areas of tension.
And if you find any tension in your body as you breathe out,
Simply let that tension go.
Let your body relax.
In this meditation,
We will reflect on our conditioning in the seven main areas of our life.
We will move from area to area,
Looking at how our lives may have been impacted by the different types of conditioning.
So we start with our personal beliefs,
Our self-image.
And you can visualize yourself standing in front of a mirror,
Looking at yourself.
Reflect on any beliefs that you may be holding on to.
Any negative beliefs about yourself due to repeated criticism or negative feedback you may have received.
Or do you sometimes find yourself seeking validation from others to feel good about yourself?
When you think about your self-image,
Have you been conditioned by the media around you,
Telling you that your body needs to be shaped in a certain way?
Or you need to follow a certain diet?
Or you need to wear a certain type of clothes to fit in?
And as you reflect on your personal beliefs,
Your self-image,
If any of these unsupported beliefs have come up,
You can say the following affirmation.
I release any beliefs about myself that limit my potential.
I embrace a positive and empowering self-image.
And moving on to the next area,
Which is our relationships.
Our relationships with our loved ones,
Our family,
Our children,
People who we are close to.
Picture yourself interacting with your loved ones.
Are there any conditioning influences that have affected the way you behave,
That determine your expectations or how you react in relationships?
Maybe negative experiences in past relationships have made you less trusting of others.
Or maybe you express or withhold affection based on how you have been rewarded or punished in past relationships.
Or do you tend to mimic the relationship dynamics you have observed in your parents or your caregivers?
And we can release these negative conditionings in our relationships.
We can repeat the affirmation.
I release any patterns in my relationships that do not serve me.
I cultivate healthy,
Loving and supportive connections.
And moving on to our career and our professional life.
Bring to mind your workplace.
Reflect on your career choices,
Your work habits,
Your professional interactions.
Is your current career choice a result of your past conditioning,
How you have been conditioned to societal or parental expectations?
Do you fear failure at work?
Do you fear criticism at work because of negative experiences you have had in the past with bosses or colleagues?
Are you driven by a need for external validation like praise,
Promotions or bonuses?
And also bring to mind any work habits and attitudes that you have adopted from others,
Maybe mentors or role models who you have observed.
And now we can release career related conditioning by repeating the affirmation.
I release any career related conditioning that limits my success.
I welcome opportunities for growth and fulfillment in my professional life.
Moving on to our health and well-being.
And when you think about the state of your health and well-being,
How has conditioning impacted your health habits,
Your beliefs?
Do you tend to turn to certain foods for comfort because they were associated with positive experiences from your childhood?
Do you maintain certain health habits because of feedback you have received from others?
Are you holding any negative habits around your health and well-being that are held on to because of your conditioning?
And with regard to health and well-being,
We can say the affirmation.
I release any health related beliefs that do not support my well-being.
I embrace habits that nurture my body and mind.
And moving now to financial abundance.
And visualize your current financial situation and start to reflect on how conditioning has shaped your beliefs and behaviors around money.
Did you grow up with a scarcity mindset because of financial instability in your childhood?
Do you tend to spend money in certain ways because of past financial habits?
Have you adopted any unsupporting money management practices,
Money management habits from your parents or peers or friends?
Are you holding any limiting beliefs around money such as money is the root of all evil or money does not grow on trees?
And around the area of financial abundance,
We can say the affirmation.
I release any limiting beliefs about money.
I am open to abundance and prosperity in all forms.
And moving to your personal growth,
Your learning.
Picture yourself in a learning environment.
How has conditioning affected your approach to personal growth and education?
Have past negative experiences in school like ridicule or failure caused you to fear learning new things?
Or do you pursue personal growth and learning because of rewards or recognition you have received in the past?
Do you hold the belief that you are too old to learn anything new or that you are done learning?
And we can repeat the affirmation.
I release any fears or doubts about my ability to learn and grow.
I am a lifelong learner,
Open to new knowledge and experiences.
And finally coming to the area of spirituality and inner peace.
And visualize yourself in a place where you feel spiritually connected and at peace.
And start to reflect on how conditioning has influenced your spiritual beliefs and practices.
Have fear-based religious teachings from the past influenced your current spiritual beliefs?
Do you practice certain rituals simply because you have always been doing them?
And are there any spiritual beliefs that you have adopted from your community or your social background or the culture that you have been brought up in?
And around spiritual beliefs you can repeat the affirmation.
I release any spiritual beliefs that do not resonate with my true self.
I am connected to my inner peace and spiritual wisdom.
Bring your focus back now to your breath.
And with every exhale,
Feel the release of any unsupportive conditioning.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Carry these affirmations with you.
Allow them to guide you in releasing any conditioning that no longer serves you.
Start to embrace a life of greater awareness,
A life of empowerment.
