*This meditation includes elements of self hypnosis* This 'before sleep' mind-body healing mediation was created for my daughter who was struggling with various chronic and acute symptoms from Lyme Disease. Painful bones and joints, major chronic fatigue, anxiety, sudden loss of muscle tone, brain fog, concentration and memory issues. Listening to this recording as she fell asleep, she triggered her own innate self-healing capacity. Many others have used this since, and too have found great health improvements, including boosted immune systems and increased energy.

Transcript

This meditation is to be listened to before sleep,

When you are ready for bed and ready to relax for the night.

The aim of this meditation,

This self-hypnosis,

Is to boost and steady your immune system and to say goodbye to fatigue.

Let's first remove the physical tension.

Starting with your toes,

Feet and ankles,

I want you to squeeze the muscles as tight as is comfortable.

Hold that tension for just a moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt into relaxation,

Feeling sleepy.

Now the calves and knees working your way up to your thighs,

Squeeze the muscles as tight as is comfortable.

Hold that tension for just another moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt into deeper relaxation,

Feeling even more sleepy now.

From your thighs,

I want you to squeeze your buttocks and your groin muscles as much as will allow.

Squeeze the muscles as tight as is comfortable.

Hold that tension for just another moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt into relaxation,

Drawing up your tummy muscles and your lower back muscles,

Tighten them as much as is comfortable for you.

Hold that tension just another moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt into even deeper and more rewarding relaxation.

Bring tension to the upper body muscles and tissues.

Imagine those upper body muscles being tightened as much as you are comfortable with and release.

Let go.

Feel the relief as you just let things be.

Bring your focus to your fingers,

Hands,

Forearms.

Curl the muscles as tightly as is comfortable.

Hold that tension for just another moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt and just release even more deeply than you ever knew you could.

And now with your hands relaxed,

Tighten your upper arms as you draw your shoulders and muscles in and up.

Feel your neck muscles and shoulder muscles tightly as you shrug those muscles up.

Hold the tension for just another moment longer and release.

Let the tension go.

Let the muscles melt and feel the relief.

Notice the relaxation spreading.

And last but not least,

Starting at the back of your neck,

Imagine the wave of tightening of all of the tiny muscles in your scalp from the neck up and over the top of your head to the forehead.

Tightening,

Scrunching up,

Now scrunching up all of your face.

Hold for a moment and really release.

Just let it go.

Feel every last bit of tension and tightness release and thoroughly let go.

Now as you sink beautifully relaxed into your bed,

Feeling so much more rested already,

I want you to bring your awareness to your breathing.

Breathing through your nose is the most efficient and healthy way to breathe.

So if you can,

Nice and slowly take some deep breaths in.

Noticing the cooler air enter through your nose and the slightly warmer air leave through your nose.

Feeling more and more sleepy,

Feeling more and more relaxed.

I'm going to count you now even deeper into sleep and relaxation from five down to one while you notice the relaxation deepen with each number from five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

When I get to one,

Your mind and body are so relaxed that you couldn't even open your eyes even if you could bother to.

Five and with each breath and each number,

Your mind and body calm and relaxed,

So sleepy.

Four,

Deeper and deeper into calmness and relaxation.

That is exactly what your body needs.

Three,

Doubling the levels of relaxation with each number,

So calm and so very relaxed.

Two,

Letting go of the need to focus on the numbers or thoughts,

Allowing it all to be automatic and just perfect to be so calm and relaxed.

One,

Sleep now.

Perfectly just being.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to reach for.

Just allowing and simply being.

Just one.

Now as you go deeper and deeper into relaxation and a night of full replenishing and rejuvenating sleep,

You can trust that as you sleep,

Your subconscious continues to pick up on all that I say to you.

Your body knows the healthy blueprint,

Always has,

And is thankful for the reminders that it is about to get.

It knew exactly how to perfectly align itself as you developed in the womb.

It knows how to repair a cut to the skin.

How to clot to stop the blood flow.

It knows how to grow new skin cells and knit them together to repair the damage.

It just knows if it hasn't read a manual or been on a training course,

It doesn't need continuous instruction.

It just has the most incredible,

Innate knowledge on how to heal,

How to regenerate tissues,

Cells,

Bones,

Organs,

Even neurons.

Let's focus on your immune system for a moment.

Your immune system can tweak itself to find the perfect balance for the healthy you.

Not too sensitive,

And yet not weak,

Just perfect.

The perfect adjustment each and every moment when needed.

Fresh look at your hormone system will open your eyes to how amazing it is.

Your hormone system is actually a communication loop.

It sends messages through your bloodstream to certain parts of your body to let it know a task needs doing.

It's a biofeedback system and it likes a reply.

So if something isn't working exactly as it should be,

It will keep on trying.

Allow it to work in perfect balance for you now.

Allow your body to make any of the needed amendments.

Express that the hormones work in perfect harmony with your cycles and the moon cycles.

And appreciate how they change through the cycles.

No more fighting or blaming,

Just acceptance.

And allow it to flow easily and calmly through the body.

Riding the waves.

So let's look at fatigue issues.

For example,

If your body has depleted of cortisol and your system is asking for a boost of cortisol for one reason or another,

But it isn't receiving enough,

Then it will keep trying,

Potentially causing further exhaustion.

Maybe this has been your story,

But now it's time for a change.

What if you knew and were reminded that your body has the ability to reproduce a perfect level of cortisol for you?

To trigger the release whenever needed.

Your body allows a perfect balance at all times.

Your body adjusts effortlessly whenever it needs to.

Your body knows exactly what to do.

Your body is a self-contained healing unit.

Your body knows the healthy blueprint and knows how to get back there,

And is ready to get back there now.

So allow it,

Accept the changes.

Allow the natural balance to resume now.

You are amazing.

You are strong.

You are balanced.

You are flexible.

You are energetic.

You are resilient.

You are calm.

You are clear headed.

You recall information easily.

You are unique.

You are your own healer.

You are enough.

From our planet we receive nutrients.

From our solar system we receive energy,

Such as the sun's rays and others we don't see.

From our healthy nutritious foods we receive what we need.

From our plentiful sleep we renew and boost our energy supplies.

From every chuckle of laughter we fuel ourselves with joy.

From our sun we receive vitamin D,

And along with calcium from vegetables we grow stronger every day.

Every day,

In every way,

You grow stronger and stronger.

Stronger by the day.

Stronger by the hour.

Stronger by the minute.

Stronger by the second.

Moment by moment,

Whilst awake or whilst asleep,

You grow stronger.

You always continue to grow stronger.

Your immune system gets smarter and finds the way to do whatever it is that it needs to do to restore balance and harmony in your body.

Your body finds the perfect and effortless ways to detox all that is no longer needed to be in your system.

Maybe through sweat.

Maybe through bi-carb baths.

Naturally,

And without effort,

You increase your clean water drinking habits.

There is nothing more refreshing than a nice drink of water,

Nourishing your body in ways that we can be so grateful for.

Your thirst is constantly quenched before the thirst trigger has even had chance to register.

You just sip away all day as and when you can,

Staying fully hydrated so that your body has the means to transport the toxins out.

I wonder when you will first notice that you already have a strong desire for healthy clean vegetables and food.

That desire to eat cleanly comes as complete second nature,

And the energy to supply and prepare the meals is an absolute pleasure.

I wonder when you will notice that all of these positive changes have already happened.

Your body really does thank you for it,

And you notice a huge difference.

Stronger.

Leaner.

More energetic.

Vibrant and at peace.

Resting at appropriate times.

Moving and stretching as and when your body feels like it.

Seeing how you are naturally choosing earlier bedtimes,

And as you listen to this and settle into a deep sleep that lasts all night long.

Fully rested.

Fully relaxed.

Allowing your body to do all it needs to do as you get better quality sleep.

Waking when you need to.

Feeling rested and rejuvenated.

Even when you have naps you notice the difference when the appropriate time comes.

For now though,

Long,

Deep,

Healing,

Restful sleep.

Your body does not need to fight as your body is already a winner.

It knows exactly what to do to find the healthy balance and it does so now already.

I invite you to repeat after me.

I am strong.

I am balanced.

I am amazing.

I am flexible.

I am energetic.

I am resilient.

I am calm.

I am clear headed.

I recall information easily.

I am unique.

I am my own healer.

I am enough.

Anytime you count down from five to one,

You come straight back to this place of deep healing rest and these words go deeper each time.

Stronger each time,

Just like your body.

So even though you have already made shifts and changes in your mind and body,

You will benefit from listening to these words again each evening for a while.

Let the suggestions bed in.

Allow your body to trigger relaxation from the initial muscle release and then allow yourself to drift automatically into a deep,

Refreshing,

Good quality sleep.

Knowing that the healthy new habits,

New behaviors,

New lifestyle choices,

They all become second nature,

Healthy choices,

New found energy.

Your energy field is healed,

Neat and secure,

All old leakages sealed and healthy energy remains with you.

Like an osmosis,

The perfect filter,

Only the pure can enter.

And with all this comes the best energy rejuvenation your body could have ever hoped for.

You are fascinated and you are a new you every single day.

After a stressful afternoon, I was looking for a relaxing cortisone lowering meditation. Thought I’d listen to yours though it was meant for sleep. The relief afterwards was significant, I felt my body change from a tense state to relaxed approx the half way mark- still feeling good hours later.
