I invite you now to just arrive here in this moment with yourself as yourself,
As we ask ourselves to be open to an opportunity here and now to explore what it might be like today in this moment,
To really immerse ourselves into a very genuine experience of spirituality.
The essence of who you are,
The divinity that flows through you,
The wisdom of your own being and the experience of you,
All parts of you in this moment offers you so much to bring your awareness to as you gently inquire into authentically witnessing.
How are you doing right now?
So let's begin.
Close your eyes and just greet this moment.
Greet the moment.
Greet this moment.
The here and the now.
Greet the moment.
Accepting what's here right now.
What's present for you.
Accepting whatever arises.
Maybe there's a sense of anger,
Hopelessness,
Stress,
Despair,
Perhaps creativity,
Anticipation,
Tenderness,
Perhaps a broken heart or a tired mind.
When you are asked to greet the moment,
You are being asked to accept what is here right now.
Maybe you notice that today there is a lot about your outer reality,
That you have a lot of resistance around accepting.
Maybe you have been in judgment all day so far.
So you're noticing that right now.
So let's just start there.
Let's go from the outside in.
I accept that I have this job.
I accept that I live in this place.
I accept that in this moment,
My house is perhaps really messy.
I accept that I'm impacted by relationship with this person.
I accept the weather outside my window right now.
Shower your outer reality with profound acceptance.
Even if all you can do is activate acceptance by saying it's OK that things are not OK.
Once you have showered your outer reality with acceptance,
See if you can turn it inside.
It's OK that my body is really tight,
Really tense and anxious.
It's OK that perhaps my body is unwell and weak,
Or it's OK that I'm vital and vibrant in this moment.
How is the mind?
It's OK that perhaps there is a painful memory from the past replaying.
It's OK.
My teacher reminds me of something powerful again and again that I want echoed into my time with you.
Acceptance is the gateway into the present moment,
Therefore the gateway into our healing.
So be with your own internal experience right now.
Notice and soften into acceptance.
I accept that my mind might be really scattered right now.
I accept that my body may be tense.
I want you to scan your own internal landscape and anything that arises for the next 90 seconds.
I want you to say I accept this.
Foreign feelings,
Different sensations,
Difficult thoughts.
Bring your awareness to it and say I accept this.
I accept this.
I'm going to be silent here,
Holding the space for you,
Stretching you,
Offering you this practice of acceptance.
And I want you to remember,
If you engage,
You'll become seduced by thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations and emotions.
If you bite the hook of a storyline,
You can stop the momentum by saying I accept that I've been pulled towards this and just come back.
Come back to your body.
Notice what's arising.
And without trying to judge it,
Shift that question,
It change it.
Bring acceptance to it.
Say I accept this and then let it go and see what else arises ready for your acceptance.
OK,
Let's move to straw breath.
We'll work on breathing through our mouth as if you're sipping the breath in through the mouth,
Like you're sucking it through a straw.
And then you're going to exhale out through the nose,
Deep breath in through the mouth,
Hold,
Exhale out through the nose again in,
Hold in,
Out,
In,
Hold and out.
Let's let go of this breathing rhythm.
We're just going to switch it.
This time,
We're going to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale out through the mouth.
Yourself soften in that exhale again in how through the nose all the way in.
Hold,
Exhale in,
Hold and exhale.
One more in and exhale.
OK,
Check in with yourself again.
How's it going inside?
How's the mind?
How's the body?
How's your perception?
Is it tense inside?
Is the mind agitated?
Is your perception cluttered by the past?
Is your perception rooted in judgment and flaw and fear and criticism?
Let's take a genuine self-inventory right now and offer ourselves the opportunity to truly be in touch with how it feels to be us in this moment on a scale from one to ten.
What's your inner world like?
If you're at a ten,
Your perception is free of bias,
Free of tension,
Free of criticism,
And your body is relaxed.
If your inventory reveals a number closer to one,
Your mind is cluttered.
Perception is robbed by criticism.
The body is tense and tight,
And you're finding it hard to stay here with me right now.
Go ahead.
Give yourself a moment to just scan your internal landscape and consider what number you would use to reflect what it's like within you in this moment.
It's all OK.
We activate the courage to liberate our truth in this moment through the awareness of the transient nature of all things.
All things are changing constantly,
Even us,
Even our own internal experience.
Can you accept where you are in this moment?
I invite you to carry the acceptance prompt with you through the rest of the day,
Maybe even the rest of the week,
If you can.
When acceptance becomes a practice and life,
The prompt for us to stretch our capacity to bring acceptance to what is.
You'll be surprised how quickly we can suspend the impulse to judge and instead let acceptance become a reflex.
OK,
Mother,
That's it for now.
Good job.
Good job.
More soon.
I love you.
