Welcome to this guided visualization about leaving work at the office.

Together we're going to create good boundaries around work.

Never before have we needed to do this so much.

Working from home has made it more difficult to separate work and the rest of your life.

Take a deep breath and breathe out.

Start by thinking of how many hours you spend at work.

How many hours would you like to be spending at work?

Now consider the other things in life that you would love to be doing if you weren't spending time at work.

Be imaginative here.

Really let yourself dream.

What do you love doing?

Who do you love being with?

How could you use your time if you weren't at work?

Imagine a piece of paper with a circle on it.

And imagine yourself drawing how much of that circle you would like to be taken up by work.

Is it half the circle?

Is it a quarter of the circle?

Is it less than a quarter of the circle?

Once you've done that,

Imagine the other things that you would like to introduce into your circle of life.

And how much of your circle would you like them to occupy?

Friends,

Family,

Adventure,

Hobbies,

Exercise,

Fun activities.

Whatever you would like to fill your life with apart from work.

Now picture yourself at work.

It's towards the end of the day.

You're about to finish.

I'd like you to go over what went well today.

What did you achieve?

Thank yourself for your hard work.

And now create a simple ritual for the end of the work day.

It might be as simple as organizing your desk,

Putting your pen in your drawer,

Closing your book.

You might have something on your desk which symbolizes work for you.

Maybe pick it up,

Hold it for a few minutes.

And allow the working day to end.

Put the work symbol down,

Go through your ritual.

And imagine yourself now standing up from your desk and moving away from work.

As you do this,

I want you to imagine that a heavy dark cloak falls off your shoulders.

You leave that at work.

It's the cloak of responsibility.

It's the cloak of being accountable to others.

It's time to take it off.

And as you walk away from work,

A beautiful white delicate cloak comes down and lands on your shoulders.

It's the cloak of your life.

Everything else that you want to do with your life.

It's light,

It's expansive,

It's joyful.

And it has you woven into every thread.

And as you imagine yourself walking away from work,

Wearing the beautiful cloak of your life,

Go over those aspects that you wrote into your circle.

What is it that you want to do with your time,

Your precious time,

Now that you've closed the book on work for the day?

Would you like to see friends?

Spend some time in nature.

Exercise.

Hug your children.

Cook a delicious dinner.

Read a book.

Make your home beautiful.

You are so much more than work.

You are a once in a lifetime expression of life.

You have a rich and rewarding life.

Ensure yourself healthy,

Happy,

Relaxed and well.

Enjoying the richness of your life.
