Welcome to the Present Moment. This meditation is a nice reminder to be present and to bring awareness of your breath and body when your mind starts to wander. As humans, we are always thinking one step ahead and planning for the future. But this moment is the only one we have right now. Be present. Be calm. Be at peace.

Welcome to another beautiful day.

As we get settled,

Notice how you feel.

No judgment here,

Just awareness.

Notice what is around you.

Are you able to look outside and see nature?

Do your surroundings make you feel a certain way?

Bring awareness to that.

Start to close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.

Notice where you are sending your breath.

Do you feel your belly expand with each inhale?

Does your chest rise and your rib cage expand?

There is no right or wrong.

However you are,

However you feel is perfect.

Let's take a deep inhale,

Stretching our arms above us.

Feel the crown of your head reach up to the sky.

Exhale.

Release your hands down into your lap.

During your practice,

If any thoughts come to you,

That's okay.

Come back to your breath and come back to your awareness of your body.

Every motion your body brings,

Every breath you take in.

Bring focus to that.

Your mind will be as it is and your body will be as it is.

Our bodies are always in the present moment.

They can never be in the past and they can never be in the future.

Our minds are the only thing that can travel to the past and to the future.

If we have control over what our bodies do in each moment,

We can have control over our minds as well.

Our minds are part of us.

Sometimes thoughts like to run wild and create scenarios that haven't even happened.

Something that may happen in the future or maybe we see something that happened in the past differently.

If we can calm those thoughts and bring our minds to this present moment,

Bring our minds to join our bodies,

We can control our actions and reactions.

Take a moment to notice where your mind is.

Has it started to wander?

If so,

Come back to your breath and come back to your body.

One of my favorite quotes by Eckhart Tolle is,

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have.

Make the now the primary focus of your life.

It can be hard to not think of the past or the future,

But now is all you have.

Nothing in life is guaranteed except for this moment right now.

Take each moment as it comes.

Live in the present.

The future will be what it is and the past is already over and done with.

What you do with this moment is up to you.

If you feel your mind wander at any time throughout your day,

Take this practice with you and come back to your body.

Come back to your breath.

These two things will allow you to remain present.

It just takes a moment of stillness and awareness to bring you back to now.

To assist you in remaining in the present moment,

Repeat these affirmations out loud or in your mind.

I am grateful for this present moment and everything it offers me.

By being present,

I am creating,

Shaping,

And influencing what happens next.

I am here right now.

All that exists is now.

I am in the perfect place at the present time.

This is where I am meant to be at this point in my life.

Being totally present in every moment opens my eyes to inspiring new experiences.

Each moment of my life is magical.

Now take a deep inhale,

Filling up your lungs.

Hold it at the top.

Exhale,

Release those words out into the universe.

Everything that you have gone through in the past has brought you to this moment.

The future is there waiting for you,

But there is no need to rush.

Enjoy being here,

Enjoy the now.

Thank you so much for sharing your time with me.

I hope you seize every moment and embrace the magic of each day.
