Good morning,
Afternoon,
Or evening.
Whatever time of the day it is,
Wherever you are coming from,
Welcome and thank you for joining me.
We'll start by finding a comfortable seated position.
Take a nice big inhale through your nose and exhale out the mouth.
Let's do that one more time.
Inhale filling up your belly and exhale let it all go.
Softly close your eyes if they aren't already there.
Feel free to set an intention for yourself.
Alright,
Let's get started.
Today's meditation is all about gratitude.
I'm sure you've heard people say,
Wake up with a grateful mind and a grateful heart.
Well that is exactly what we will be focusing on today.
We are going to let gratitude fill us up from our head to our toes and just embody that feeling.
Being grateful doesn't mean that something huge or major had to have happened in your life.
It can be the small things as well.
A cup of coffee in the morning,
Your favorite meal,
The sun shining on your face,
Going for a walk,
Reading a new book,
Fresh bed sheets,
The smell of spring.
Take a few moments to think of some things that you are grateful for.
Germany Kent once said,
Gratitude is one of the most powerful human emotions.
Once expressed,
It changes attitude,
Brightens outlook,
And broadens our perspective.
When you are filled with gratitude,
It exudes out into the world.
It changes the way you approach situations,
It brings you more peace,
And it changes the way you see things.
Some days we may find it hard to be grateful.
That is completely normal and you are not alone in that.
But if you can find one thing to be grateful for in that day,
That piece of gratitude will take you through the difficult times.
And on the other side of those difficult times,
There are brighter days.
There are days where we will be surrounded by everything we love and everything we appreciate.
That's the yin and the yang in life.
Remember,
There is good in every single day.
Sometimes we just have to look for it.
Repeat these affirmations in your mind or out loud and don't forget to put that smile on your face.
I am grateful for my body.
I am grateful for who I am and who I can be.
I am grateful for the lessons that each experience brings.
I am grateful for all the love in my life given and received.
I am grateful for what I have while being excited for what has yet to come.
Now take a deep inhale,
Hold it at the top and exhale release.
Feeling how your body is filled with gratitude and feeling that gratitude be released out into the world.
Carry this feeling with you throughout your day.
And if there is a time in your day where you feel a bit of a shift,
Come back to a moment of gratitude.
Just take a breath and think of something that you are grateful for.
Sometimes all we need is that one moment,
That one pause to shift our day.
And remember,
It's the small things in life.
Thank you for joining me for this gratitude meditation.
I am grateful for each and every one of you.
Have a magical day.
