Hello,

This is a guided meditation by Lauren from LoveWell.

Enjoy.

During this session,

I would love for us to center around the authenticity of wellness.

The authenticity of wellness.

Beyond the buzzword of wellness this and wellness that,

What at its core,

At its essence,

Is wellness?

Wellness is more than,

Well,

Just skin care and vitamins and beyond any other buzzword that may pop up in this trendy society that we now live in.

Wellness is the ability to practice things that are liberating to the body,

Things that bring joy to the soul,

Things that help to heal the mind.

That is wellness.

Wellness is beyond the buzz.

Wellness is centered around one's spiritual journey.

Spiritual wellness plays a role here.

It helps us develop,

It helps us to become,

It helps us to let go,

It helps us to see the flaws.

Our own red flags,

Our own green flags.

It helps us to see where we have built a wall.

And where we have become stagnant.

So today as we are guided through these questions that center us around our spiritual wellness,

Beyond the buzz,

Beyond all the products that we could possibly own,

What is our spirit saying about our wellness routine?

What is our spirit saying about the topical and aromatic and just all the other products that we inhale and digest?

What is it that our spirit is saying?

So we center today around spiritual wellness.

We center today around what it means to go beyond the buzz,

What it means to dig deep into those wells that has harbored unrelenting concerns,

Unrelenting feelings,

Unrelenting emotional blockages.

What are we holding in the wells of our minds,

In the wells of our body?

What shall we release in order to be well,

To be liberated,

To be joyful?

What?

So as we center today,

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whatever is most comfortable to you.

Your eyes could either be open or closed,

You could either journal or just sit with the words that I meditate today.

These are the meditations of my heart,

The words that flow from deep within me,

Questions that my soul must consider,

Questions that my mind must release,

Questions that my body can no longer harbor.

These are the questions that lead us to wellness.

These are the things that we must face in order to keep on growing.

So we'll start by taking a deep breath in,

Holding it for two seconds and releasing.

Let's breathe.

Releasing.

It's time to ask myself,

How did I get here?

How did I get to a space where?

Breathing in.

How did I find myself just going with the flow?

How did I find myself paused on this journey?

At the end of the day,

I'm the one in control.

My identity.

The way I see things,

The way I enjoy things,

The energy that I emit into this world.

I am in control.

Continuing to breathe in and out.

Through your nose.

And all through your mouth.

I must continue the work.

I must continue the work beyond routines that I have not stumbled into or found myself in,

But routines that have replaced.

The work of facing hard questions,

The work of having those crucial conversations,

The work of being on my knees and asking God,

Please just continue to guide me.

Starting there is how we begin again.

Starting there is how we pick up.

I won't say our burdens,

But we pick up the stones that help us tell our stories.

We pick up the rocks that have built us over the years.

We pick up where we left off,

But we pick up where we must begin so that we can one day say,

This is how.

Given the tools that helped us to others on their journeys,

Given the tools that allowed us to be those courageous and those tenacious and those inspiring women and men.

Those that have helped us tell the story of how we indeed built our spiritual wellness.

The things that we rely on when the going gets rough,

Where we hear more no's than we ever have heard yeses,

Lord God.

Where we hear that we are comforted by your love and strengthened by the support of those that know you.

That's where we begin our spiritual wellness.

That is where we begin to realize that everything else that we have around us is accessible because we started within,

Because we knew where to go after we started where we were.

We knew where to go because we submitted to you.

Here I am,

Lord.

Use me.

Those simple words my brothers and sisters can help us no matter where we are,

No matter where we stopped along the way.

Here I am.

It's all it takes to start that spiritual journey or to restart that spiritual wellness journey.

That's all it takes because God is listening and God is near.

There's a saying that God sits high and looks low,

But I say that the God I know,

That the God has helped me from A to B and now from B to C.

He walks with me.

God talks with me.

God is telling me every single day that I open my eyes that I am with you.

But God needs to know that we are with God.

So start there today.

If you're questioning,

Where do I go from here?

What am I supposed to be doing?

Where am I supposed to be?

Who am I supposed to be with?

Lord God.

These questions that we have,

They start with you.

And don't be afraid to ask those questions.

Go beyond the buzz.

Go beyond what people may tell you works for them.

Go beyond know what works for you.

Dig deep into those wells,

Those reservoirs,

Those waters that help carry you through.

Dig deep into them.

Examine them and then you will find your answer.

Our journeys look different.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

But we all must choose one day to go beyond the buzz.

We all must choose someday to dig deep into our own wells,

To dig deep into our own spaces,

Lord God,

To dig deep.

And to uncover what our souls must know.

That's where wellness begins.

That's where we find ourselves strengthened and courageous and bold enough to stand in this world another day.

Wellness goes beyond the buzz of whatever trend may be happening now.

It goes beyond.

And I'm not saying that those aren't helpful.

But spiritual wellness goes beyond.

So as we close out this session,

As you sit in the stillness of your breath,

Dig deep,

My sister,

My brother.

Dig deep.

It is in those wells and those dark crevices that we try to avoid.

That's where we find the light we need to guide us.

This has been a LoveWell meditation.

I hope you've enjoyed it.

And I hope you continue to go beyond the buzz.

Have a great day.

LoveWell.

Be well.

God shape.
