Welcome to this guided meditation.
This guided meditation is to help you work with feeling stuck.
Bring yourself to a comfortable seated position.
You can also do this lying down.
Whatever will allow you to relax and let go.
Bring your attention to the base of your spine and imagine a straight line running along your spine and up through the crown of your head.
And as you sit upright,
You gently relax and effortlessly allow yourself to remain upright.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Begin to relax and deepen your breath.
With each exhale,
Allow yourself to begin to release any tension you might be feeling in your shoulders.
And now with your out breath,
Release any tension from your abdominal area,
From your stomach right down into your hips.
And on your next in and out breaths,
Bring your attention to your jaw.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension from your jaw,
From your face,
Letting go and relaxing.
Notice the relaxed quality in your body right now.
Allow yourself to remain sitting upright,
And yet you let go and relax along that upright string holding you up.
Bring to mind any issue or place in your life where you're feeling stuck,
Where you might be wanting change,
Seeking some movement,
Some action,
But you feel frozen,
Unable to step forward,
To do what it is that you may want to do.
Give that change a name.
What is it that you want that would allow you to be relieved of this feeling of feeling stuck?
As you hold that feeling and that place,
That feeling of being stuck,
That word,
Imagine yourself picking up the end of a long rope and holding it.
And on one side of the rope is you feeling stuck,
You unable to make the change or take the step or do the thing that you really want to do.
That thing has a name,
That feeling of stuck,
Has a word connected to it.
And as you hold that rope,
You know that this is the word that you want to change.
Look along that rope and allow yourself to just notice the rope going out straight away from you about 10 or 12 feet.
And there you are on the other side of the rope too.
You pick up the rope and you look at yourself and you know that there's something else that you want too.
There's something else that's keeping you stuck.
What is it that you want that you feel that is as strong as the change that you want?
What's standing on the other side of that rope,
Pulling and holding you right here?
Give that a name.
Is it a fear of change?
Is it an outcome you're afraid of?
Is it losing something?
Is it another feeling you don't want to experience?
What is it that keeps you where you are?
And give that a name.
Now notice that you are on both sides of that rope.
One side of you wants one thing,
The other side of you wants the other thing.
And that rope is pulling you back and forth very slightly.
You can feel the tension.
You can feel how it's holding you and yet it's uncomfortable.
Now imagine yourself out on the other side.
There you are.
And you look over and you decide,
I'm just going to let go.
I'm going to let you take your step.
I'm going to let you experiment and go for the change that you want.
I'm going to release the hold I have,
Keeping you in place.
Know as you look over that you can always pick up that other side of the rope again.
But for now you're going to put it down.
You're going to let go and you're going to allow yourself to take the step that you want to take towards what it is you want.
What is that one step that would move you towards the change,
The feeling,
The life,
The way of being that you want right now?
What is that one step you could take?
Slowly let the rope go down and bring your hand up to your heart.
Tell yourself that you're ready to take that step.
Feel into your heart and feel the desire for what it is you want.
Feel the desire for the change or the experience that it is that you long for and allow yourself to really embody that desire.
Let that desire get so strong that that step will seem simple,
Maybe scary but still simple.
One small step in honor of the deep desire of your heart.
Breathe into your heart.
Let yourself get centered from heart space right now and really embody that desire.
Imagine yourself already in the experience that it is that you want.
Allow yourself to hold that vision for a moment of you happily experiencing what it is your heart desires.
Let that image get as clear as it can get.
Let it arise and be with you and fuel you to take the action that you really want to take.
As you feel the happiness and the excitement of living and being that,
Feel the higher vibration in your body and hold that higher vibration.
As you begin to release this meditation,
Bring your hand down to your lap,
Tune into your breath again.
Notice the relaxed state of your body but relaxed at a higher vibration than when you began this meditation.
Remind yourself of that step that you're ready to take.
Take three more relaxed breaths.
Stay in this meditation for as long as you desire.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and continue with your day.
