Gatha meditation is a practice of pairing the breath with short phrases or words to bring us back to the present moment and encourage mindfulness. This particular gatha meditation enhances a sense of abundance while releasing worry. Please adjust the practice to your own rate of breathing as necessary. The track includes the use of a singing bowl and koshi chime.

Welcome to today's gatha meditation.

I invite you to find a comfortable seat,

Allowing your spine to lift up tall,

Shoulders falling back and down.

As you inhale,

Allow your sitting bones to sink down into the surface on which you are seated.

I invite you to rub the palms of your hands together,

Bringing focus and energy into the palms.

Then gently taking the fingertips and brushing the forehead,

Temples and cheeks,

Brushing away any worries or expectations.

Then placing your fingertips over the eyes,

Palms to the cheeks,

Take a couple of deep cleansing breaths,

And letting your hands float down to your legs.

Find a comfortable resting position,

Allowing your arms to be at ease,

Taking a full breath in and out.

As you come to your next inhaling breath,

I invite you to think to yourself,

I am here.

As you breathe out,

It is now.

Breathing in,

I receive joy and abundance.

Breathing out,

I release worry and fear.

Breathing in,

I rest in this moment.

Breathing out,

I smile.
